I just started 2 new topics which have been ignored by mods. maybe because I didn’t ‘add new topic’ – I just used the blank boxes at the bottom? any input?
You need to start a really stupid thread like “I cut off my peyot”, then people will assume that your chassidish even though you wrote peyoT. You need it to be clickbait. Substance is meaningless!
Presumably, not every subject or issue carries the same level of interest to the Mods as to the poster. After a decade or longer of observing the topics that trigger the greatest level of user response and engagement, I suspect there is a certain intuitive or subject threshold that is used to screen new topics to avoid having the CR drowning in multiple new topics where there is a minimal response to the OP. All of that assumes, of course the OP was “appropriate” and worded in compliance with the editorial standards.
it’s so not nice6 for you to insinuate my thread may have been too stupid. besides, it’s dumb. I haven’t posted a single stupid thing in all my tenure here.
mods don’t decide based on intelligence or clickbait. it’s based on merit, something my thread certainly had.
“You need to start a really stupid thread like “I cut off my peyot”, …
Well, probably would be newsworthy if the OP came from Chashuvah Rebbelah I who claimed he heard a vert from some Adom Gadol, who in the name of Chashuvah Rebbelah II that payot were no longer required based on his most recent nevuah.
