There is an old song Shokah Chamoh. I am looking to download the tune (the old vrsion) and for the lyrics. Does anyone know where I can find it?

(Pirchei version)
It was on the Pirchei record called “Yiboneh Hamikdosh”.
It was not on the “Best of Pirchei” release, and AFAIK, is not available anywhere.
June 5, 2013 10:19 pm at 10:19 pm #958265HarotzehbilumshmoParticipantThanks so much! That took effort! I remember the old haunting tune from when I was a kid and had hoped to hear it somewhere!
June 5, 2013 10:57 pm at 10:57 pm #958266☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantI’ll tell you how you can hear it.
It’s on Dartmouth’s Jewish Sound Archives. You have to sign up, be approved, and renew every six months.
It might interest you to learn the history of the song; there’s a Hebrew Wikipedia article on it, with three versions of lyrics on it (none are precisely as sung on the record).
If a kind mod would agree, I would send you an mp3 file, since as far as I can tell it’s not available for sale.
June 5, 2013 11:06 pm at 11:06 pm #958267☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantI sent a copy to the moderators’ email, although I don’t know if any mod would be willing to facilitate sending it.
June 5, 2013 11:47 pm at 11:47 pm #958268HarotzehbilumshmoParticipantThank you again! I was familiar with this history. I did check the different versions as you suggested. I tried the Dartmouth site. I may be spelling it wrong but I could not find it there
June 6, 2013 1:47 am at 1:47 am #958270☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantSearch “Pirchei”.
June 6, 2013 1:51 am at 1:51 am #958271☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantThey spell the song “Shoko”.
June 6, 2013 2:06 am at 2:06 am #958272HarotzehbilumshmoParticipantNo luck. Thanks anyway. I’ve survived the last 30 years without it I’ll keep on doing so!

I’m not sure. Try asking the switchboard operator.
