Should there be any reason someone could get a heter for an iPhone?

Stick it in your pocket.
October 17, 2012 8:05 am at 8:05 am #899972Get your GPS coordinates.
Q: What can you with Android that you cannot do with an iPhone?
A: Get your GPS coordinates without a network connection. iPhone doesn’t have offline GPS. Android does. Priceless if you go hiking in areas without cellular coverage.

It’s also true of a pack of gum, but that wasn’t your question.

October 17, 2012 2:06 pm at 2:06 pm #899977akupermaParticipantSo what is the objection to an iPhone as compared to any other brand?
Cost? Internet access (then the objection is to internet access, not to any specific hardware – a netbook or tablet is just as problematic)?
I can see reasons to object to portable phones, or to computers, but why a specific brand? If a hot dog is treff because its made of pork, it’s still treff if instead it’s an expensive pork roast.

I’ve never heard that an iphone is more objectionable than an Android phone.
October 17, 2012 6:33 pm at 6:33 pm #899980zahavasdadParticipantIt seems in Yiddish iphone is the word for any smart phone, much like in english Xerox was the word for copy machines , Aspririn was the name of a pain killer medicine and Kodak was the word for taking a picture.
When they ban iPhones, They really mean all smartphones

Unless the conductor allows you to take up two seats, one for you and one for the pc, monitor and large battery pack and you have about 45 miles of rj11 cable extending from your phone jack, and the conductor on the morris and essex line allows you to trail it behind the train, the iphone is a much easier, cost effecte and efficient way to stream a shiur while commuting to and from work.
