should a bochur look up to a goisheh sport player???

    #2331378

yes, unless the bochur is taller. If he is not looking at all, he will end up bumping into the player, showing both disrespect to umos haoilam and endangering his own health. Of course, walking outside during learning hours was his first problem.

Only if they are shorter than the object of their adulation.

Ask your local Orthodox Rabbi or your Mashgiach for true answers and not coffee room answers

Going to and looking up to aren’t synonymous.

chas v’sholom for a yid to go to these events. It’s bitul torah mamish! what’s the question?

    #2331846

Why not? the Torah instructs us how to learn valuable lessons from all sorts of animals, sports players can demonstrate extreme levels of perseverance diligence and effort that we could only wish to emulate in our life’s and Avodas Hashem.

Is it SAFE for bachurim who are obviously Jewish to go to non-Jewish
sports events, where they might be surrounded by people who hate them?

SQRT > they might be surrounded by people who hate them?

just don’t go to Detroit games. Otherwise, you should be surrounded by a friendly crowd.
