Yes. Its supposed to rival the BMW 7 and Mercedes S class
November 9, 2010 9:20 pm at 9:20 pm #902993SacrilegeMemberBPT
I was never really an Aston Martin gal (maybe its the British engineering 😉 Although if I HAD to settle for one I’d go with the Vantage.
Besides, why waste a beauty like that in BK when you can let her free on the open roads?
If you are already spending a small fortune, you might as well go with Bugatti Veyron. Along with the ultimate luxury car you get the bragging rights for owning the worlds most expensive car.
November 9, 2010 10:46 pm at 10:46 pm #902994bptParticipant“the worlds most expensive car”
Used to be, used to be. The One-77 is almost double a Bug
November 9, 2010 11:44 pm at 11:44 pm #902995SacrilegeMemberBPT
You sure? I think the Bugatti owns the bragging rights now with the price tag just under 2 Mill.
November 10, 2010 2:45 am at 2:45 am #902996ronrsrMembera thread was ended and a user’s screen name was blocked because this person had too many screennames.
How many are too many?
I only have one, should I have more?
November 10, 2010 5:15 am at 5:15 am #902997WIYMemberronrsr
You should have minimum 8. MINIMUM!
November 10, 2010 5:09 pm at 5:09 pm #902998SacrilegeMemberSeriously, I mean I’m questioning how much of a life I have for commenting so much in the CR.
But to have multiple screen names….
November 10, 2010 5:14 pm at 5:14 pm #902999bptParticipantI could see the CR being a problem, if you spend all your free time here. Like, say a day off, and instead of going somewhere, or doing something around the house, you spend the day CR’ing. Or if you have more screen conversations in a day, than you do face-to-face.
But for the vast majority of us, CR is just another version of a newspaper or a radio broadcast. It fuels our (or at least my) outside conversations with new info / material.
November 10, 2010 5:29 pm at 5:29 pm #903000SacrilegeMemberBPT
“I could see the CR being a problem, if you spend all your free time here.”
I’d say its probably a full time job to keep up multiple personalities.
November 10, 2010 6:26 pm at 6:26 pm #903001bptParticipant“multiple personalities”
Thats what makes us so entertaining!
November 10, 2010 7:23 pm at 7:23 pm #903002WIYMemberSacrilege
I think for the most part everyone has 1 screen name maybe some have a 2nd that they rarely use. Or maybe I’m wrong and this place is full of schizophrenics…
November 10, 2010 7:48 pm at 7:48 pm #903003SacrilegeMemberWIY
“Or maybe I’m wrong and this place is full of schizophrenics…”
Aside from the regular character you normally see: Wolf, Popa, Blinky…
I’m guessing all the other new ones, or the ones you rarely see are either one or two people with many personalities or one of the regulars with an alter-ego.
November 10, 2010 7:57 pm at 7:57 pm #903004WIYMemberSac
Makes no difference to me one way or another but Id like to hope I’m not in such pathetic company.
November 10, 2010 7:58 pm at 7:58 pm #903005bptParticipantI can’t think of a reason I would need to screen names. My writing style and opinions would be readily apparent, so what good would a new name do me? I may have different reactions to different topics, but in essense, its still the singular me.
Unless the Mods start limiting posts to only 20 per day per name… then I’ll need a whole phonebook of screen names!
November 10, 2010 8:06 pm at 8:06 pm #903006YW Moderator-80MemberI can’t think of a reason I would need to[sic] screen names
well perhaps one day you might say something about, well i dont know, perhaps a bear in the woods or something. you might then feel a need to take cover under a different screen name for a while.
November 10, 2010 8:09 pm at 8:09 pm #903007bptParticipantThat still brings a smile to my face.. thanks for reminding me!
And BTW, what happened to Mod 40? I haven’t seen the number in a while?

“Id like to hope I’m not in such pathetic company.” That dream went out the window minute I joined.
Ha! You almost make it sound like you joined seeking pathetic company. (I guess you were sick of all the normal cool people in your life)
November 10, 2010 8:47 pm at 8:47 pm #903010SacrilegeMemberWIY
Just pathetic people bored enough to read to my miscellaneous rantings 😉
November 10, 2010 9:12 pm at 9:12 pm #903011squeakParticipantBut your rantings aren’t miscellaneous- every word you say here is qualified legal advice, right? Otherwise, what was all the fuss about the other day?
November 10, 2010 9:15 pm at 9:15 pm #903012squeakParticipantI can’t think of a reason I would need to screen names.
Well, let’s say that you wanted to say something ridiculous and controversial, but were afraid to be all alone in the argument with everyone else against you. You might think it’s a good idea to create alts to back you up and make you seem normal (oh, what a slippery slope :))
My writing style and opinions would be readily apparent, so what good would a new name do me?
So is the style and opinions of the biggest offender, but that doesn’t seem to stop him 🙂
November 10, 2010 9:16 pm at 9:16 pm #903013WIYMemberSac
Yeah it does make one feel good doesn’t it? 🙂
November 10, 2010 10:04 pm at 10:04 pm #903014SacrilegeMemberSqueak
“every word you say here is qualified legal advice, right?”
Wrong. Unfortunately, until I take the bar I am not qualified to dole out legal advice…
*looks around* I dont want certain members to remind me (what I already know) what is ethical for me to do.
November 10, 2010 10:16 pm at 10:16 pm #903015bptParticipant“create alts to back you up”
You mean like imaginary friends? Squeak, the day I do that, is the day I check out accomodations at Creedmore.
And as far as the “biggest offender”, one day I expect to be “outed” by someone in the CR. The last thing I want to hear is, “That man is a phony”.
Trust me, my outside self is in total sync with my screen self. Good, bad or otherwise, its who I am, and I can’t present myself as someone else. (Besides, that would mean getting multiple sets of clothing, and I hate shopping)
November 10, 2010 10:19 pm at 10:19 pm #903016squeakParticipantWhat?! Then I want you to return my fees!
November 10, 2010 10:35 pm at 10:35 pm #903017squeakParticipantBPT- I hear you, and I get it. Just because others are doing it doesn’t mean you should- I am just sharing the rationale.
November 10, 2010 10:44 pm at 10:44 pm #903018bptParticipantUnderstood. Lets see what my alterego has to say about it, though.
November 11, 2010 6:03 pm at 6:03 pm #903019blinkyParticipantK im not sure where to put this so im puttting it here if the mods let it through…… but i think someone should set up WIY and Sacriledge just from reading their posts- no? What do you think? 🙂 🙂 🙂

Really sweet of you to think of me 😉
Not my type.
November 11, 2010 6:23 pm at 6:23 pm #903021myfriendMemberso why are you two kids always flirting with each other?
November 11, 2010 6:29 pm at 6:29 pm #903022SacrilegeMembermyfriend
Its called being friendly.
November 11, 2010 6:47 pm at 6:47 pm #903023WIYMemberSacrilege
I don’t think we are the right type for each other but I think it would be a fun date. Although I predict lots of spirited debate…
November 11, 2010 6:49 pm at 6:49 pm #903024SacrilegeMemberI’m not really a debater when it comes to dating…

What is your “type”?
November 11, 2010 7:19 pm at 7:19 pm #903028blinkyParticipantMinyan gal- don’t know about shuls but i know some schools have off today…:) i dont think thats what you were reffering to though.
And sac and WIY- i still think its a good match:) especially since WIY said yes! C’mon sac its so hard to get a yes from the boy why not?????? (JK)
November 11, 2010 7:24 pm at 7:24 pm #903029SacrilegeMemberWIY
I leave my professional life at the office. So no one yells @ me I am not a lawyer yet. Making it abundantly clear.
Phrum
I’m not sure lol
I think I just know what isnt.
November 11, 2010 7:26 pm at 7:26 pm #903030WIYMemberSacrilege
Its ok I don’t think we are for each other either. No offense.
I’m somewhat surprised that you can say you don’t know what you are looking for when you are the age you are and have been dating that long. Don’t you think its about time to figure that out?
November 11, 2010 7:36 pm at 7:36 pm #903031phrumMemberSounds about right!
November 11, 2010 8:33 pm at 8:33 pm #903032SacrilegeMemberblinky
Thats true but just because we enjoy a friendly banter doesnt mean we are meant for each other.
WIY
Believe me, none taken.
November 11, 2010 8:39 pm at 8:39 pm #903033SacrilegeMemberWIY
Pen on paper, if you want me to give you the boring stats I can say: Professional, Talmid Chacham etc etc… but nothing is etched in stone, if a good friends tells me they think something is a good idea, I’ll give it a try, sometimes things just work.
November 11, 2010 8:46 pm at 8:46 pm #903034WIYMemberSacrilege
You want a Talmid Chacham
There’s a Ben Torah and then there’s a Talmid Chacham. Unless a guy is naturally brilliant and retains most of what he learns or a huge masmid and knows a lot he can’t be a Talmid Chacham. To earn that title takes years maybe a really serious Kollel guy who is learning shtark may earn that title by about 30 years old or so.
Oh and you also want him to be a professional? Start dating guys who are over 30….
November 11, 2010 9:46 pm at 9:46 pm #903035bptParticipant“if a good friends tells me they think something is a good idea, I’ll give it a try”
IMHO, Blinky IS a good friend, and an objective one, at that. Unless you know WIY in real life, you might just want to consider her suggesstion
November 11, 2010 9:54 pm at 9:54 pm #903036WIYMemberBP Totty
Thanks for trying to set us up but I honestly think we arent for each other. Our views on things dont exactly match up. Besides, shes looking for a professional and a Talmid Chacham of which I am neither.
November 11, 2010 9:55 pm at 9:55 pm #903037phrumMemberSacrilege
Assuming professional, brilliant, learning and good middos (and sense of humor and the ability to get rid of any and all herring aromas, I dare add) are a given, how does one get to find out if he’s not your type?
November 11, 2010 9:57 pm at 9:57 pm #903038SacrilegeMemberWIY
Talmid Chacham, Ben Torah same difference.
BPT
A friend that knows a guy MORE than I do. Blinky and I probably know WIY about the same, and I know myself, not much, but slightly more than Blinky.
November 11, 2010 10:05 pm at 10:05 pm #903039SacrilegeMemberphrum
Clever 😉
Tricky since we are on an anonymous site. IDK.
Normally, I am not so hard to get a hold of.
November 11, 2010 10:06 pm at 10:06 pm #903040bptParticipant“a professional and a Talmid Chacham of which I am neither. “
Not yet and not yet.
Know what? When I got married, I was none of these either. It takes two to tango. Who knows? Sac may be just the person to bring out the best you have to offer.
November 11, 2010 10:23 pm at 10:23 pm #903041phrumMemberI’d like to get a hold of you, normally.
Sunday is supposed to be a beautiful day.
