    It’s coming!!

    And I am so excited!!

    Epps.

    What are YOU doing?

    – Learning by yourslf

    -learning random anything lishma

=learning something there *might* be a test on – with a lishma spin

    = Learning in a chavrusa

    – going to shiur(im)

    – Sleeping

What’s the best idea for me this year?

This is the highlight of like my whole year!

Any one else feel that way?

I would advise to learn: 1) With a chavrusa (opposed to byyourself, or going to a shuir.) 2) A beyiundika sugya, rather then bekiyus. These may be some solutions to help you stay awake. (However I do not know what you personaly will gain more from)

Learn something you enjoy, and with someone you would enjoy learning it with (or with yourself if that’s better). Its Chag Matan Toraseinu, and you should be doing it in a way that will make you feel most connected to it.

Going to sleep. But my husband and sons are staying up.

I know I should be ashamed of myself, but the only way I can stay up all night is when I’m sitting at my computer. I can’t learn Torah all night and not sleep. It just doesn’t go. I can’t focus on really difficult things at that hour.

So generally on Shavuos I just go to sleep a little later than on a normal shabbos or yom tov, like around midnight instead of around 11.

And yes, I know it sounds weak, but that’s just who I am.

Daniel- no one is judging you as long as you are making an honest decision and not fooling yourself. I will be going to sleep but the guys in the house can stay up! Wonder what my husband is doing…

Already looking forward to next year shavuos!! It’s the only regel I have not yet spent with my husband (although of course during the other two we spent together, he was not yet my husband).

Next year will be a little later than this year. It starts on June 3, which should be around the beginning of my husband’s summer job. We may have to work something out with his employer. This year we got married a week into his job and they let him take off for the wedding and sheva brachos.
