Search for Steven Mayer

Does anybody have up to date info on the status of the search for Steven Mayer? There were some rumors last week he was seen in Nassau County. Were those ever substantiated? What were they based on? It seems they decided to do Sunday’s search in Suffolk County, and have not organized any in Nassau County.

I was also wondering if the reports that he called his deceased parents number were verified as being from him directly. Could their old number have been in his phone, and somebody else speed-dialed it?
