i can type normally and i didn’t get it. when was the last time “asdf” or “dfghj” were words? you just don’t make the connection.
come on honestly everyone – how long did it take each of you to figure it out?
i want everyone’s honest reply on this one!
brooklyn19, I really did figure it out right away. But I was required to take typing in high school.

anon – so did i. were you required to memorize the keyboard. cuz i wasn’t, so maybe that’s why i’m a tad less educated.
brooklyn19, I wasn’t required to remember it, but did anyways in a vain attempt to improve my word-per-minute rate.
when we had to practice typing in school, the teacher always said to type:
“a semicolin s l dkfjgh, asdfghjkl;, a;sldkfj….”
lol xerox i honestly don’t remember. i cut that class in ninth grade.
I should’ve cut typing too; my grades would’ve been about the same. Later when I was working I learned to touch-type fairly well though.
typing class brought up my WHOLE average!!! it was so worth that i didn’t skip!!

I didn’t figure it out. It was obvious. I tought myself how to type on my own way before high school with a program that was probably made in 1941. But I used the course in high school to improve my speed. My accuracy is pretty bad though. I type 2 letters forward on one backspace! LOL!

Are you accusing yourself of being lazy or only boys who don’t take english? 🙂
hey i probably learned less ANYTHING than yeshiva guys do english. never said i didn’t take advantage of situations :} of course i’m lazy! i’m in college and i’m still lazy!

I’m a touch typist n I never would have figured that out
intellegent, you would make look studious.
I was always able to do no work and get by just fine. .
One year, I was reading a book in class, when my friend turned around and asked if I was ready for the chemistry test we were taking in 15 minutess. I looked at her confused and said “I’m not taking chemistry this year.” She was rolling on the floor laughing because yes, indeed I was.
intel: What typing program was there in 1941? Or were you just saying that it is old?
SJS, two comments:
First, somehow when I read your name, it always comes across as SJ Sin NYC. I think the sin part gets me nervous. (I know its supposed to be SJS in NYC.)
Second, my wife tells me that in her HS class years ago it was the day of a regents, and she was in the room frantically cramming for the exam in the remaining minutes. next to her she sees a girl as calm as can be relaxing and combing her hair. My wife asked her aren’t you nervous? She said, no, not at all, we are all going to get married, anyway.
(I guess those were in the days before the shidduch crisis.)
lol i didn’t say i was spaced out. i just didn’t give a hoot about school. i broke the school’s record in lack of attendance. lol and my school is NOT known to be into it at all. the Prospect Park girls used to get mad at us when they saw us strolling home from school – not a book in sight…

Your wife’s story made me laugh.
I had some great friends who would, for about 5 minutes before the exam, tell me almost everything I needed to know to pass. The rest I would fabricate into a B+ average. I even got plenty of As. [Mostly math and russian – math comes naturally and russian was just a lot of fun]
