Does anyone think the kids will have school tomorrow? I am begining to doubt it because I have yet to see a snow plow come down my block and there’s no way any of theses cars I’m looking at can get out and drive….what do you all think?
December 27, 2010 7:42 pm at 7:42 pm #726845pashute zachMemberim wondering the same thing-cars are still stuck all over the streets and almost no means of public transportation
December 27, 2010 7:57 pm at 7:57 pm #726846WolfishMusingsParticipantAt least one of my kids is already off tomorrow. I would not be surprised if all three are before all is said and done.

December 28, 2010 3:28 am at 3:28 am #726862JewBachurMemberChances are that many Yeshivas will be closed tomorrow, due to the inclement weather. Although it stopped snowing, the streets and wind are still inaccessible.

I’m confused. Why would you think that I am going to hell because my kids’ schools chose to close for the day? That is something that is completely and utterly out of my control.

December 28, 2010 3:42 am at 3:42 am #726865RocnRoll1MemberI don’t have school and I’m in Bais Yaakov of Queens. My block also has also not been plowed due to the fact that we had 2 cars that were stuck. So now my parents, sister and brother and I all have no school and I’m sure that everyone has no school tomorrow due to the inclement weather that we have. I happen to be loving every minute of this vacation that I’m getting due to the missing of school and the work and tests that we are not having!
December 28, 2010 5:24 am at 5:24 am #726866joblessMembermove to monsey, folks! so far, it looks like our schools will be open but if anyone knows otherwise, let us know please…
December 28, 2010 12:09 pm at 12:09 pm #726867Pashuteh YidMemberWolf, I realize it may seem puzzling why you are being punished for the bitul Torah of your kids, even though it is not your fault. However, there is nothing I can do. I just work here. You will still be going to gehenom because of it. Get used to it, and make the best of it while you are there. Rules are rules.

OK, whatever. My God only punishes people in the afterlife for things within their control.
