Do you remember any good shtick that you did when you were a kid?
I’ll start with one: We put on music and plugged it into a outlet and stuck in a kid’s breifcase and clapped along with the beat, my teacher came in and told a kid to unplug a plug (not the one with music)and he unplugged it and the music was still on!

November 9, 2010 8:27 am at 8:27 am #710410whatrutalkingabtMemberWe put an alarm clock in the ceiling panel set to go off every 15 minutes…the teacher went insane
November 9, 2010 3:26 pm at 3:26 pm #710411boredstiffParticipantSimilar to Hashem’s son- we put music in the pop up ceiling, And told the teacher it was on over the PA System. She sent one girl to the office to tell them to shut it off, the girl came back saying the system broke and they can’t stop the music. The teacher was very annoyed, but having no choice had to continue teaching with the music on!

It was in elementary school and the kids wanted a day off, so they stuffed paper towels in the bathroom sinks on the second floor and turn them on full blast. So as they started to run over they started to flood the floors and then the floors started to flood the hallways and run down the stairs to the first floor and the younger grades….
They didn’t know what was going on and they started calling the parents and the school busses and sent everyone home.
November 9, 2010 4:53 pm at 4:53 pm #710413WolfishMusingsParticipantAfter reading this thread and one on school pranks, perhaps I wasn’t as bad a kid as I always thought I was.
I was a poor hashkafic fit for my school — it was very hard-right yeshivish… and I wasn’t. Furthermore, because I didn’t fit “the mold,” I was often ignored and, therefore, barely learned anything there in my time.
The Rosh Yeshiva knew that I wasn’t a good fit for the school — but I was generally well-behaved. The worst that could be said about me (as far as in-school behavior went) was that I was failing Gemara. Nonetheless, the fact that I had a different mindset than the other kids made me stick out like a sore thumb.
I think the worst thing I ever did was trying to play a mind game with the Rosh Yeshiva. I decided to try my hand at composing some divrei Torah and began carrying it around with me in a folder. I carried the folder around with me everywhere on school grounds for a few days until finally, one day, he called me over and angrily demanded to know what was in the folder.
I sheepishly handed it over and let him inspect it.
Yeah, I know, expecting a smile for trying to compose divrei Torah would have been too much. I just got a scowl, was told not do it again (the “it” not being explained) and sent on my way.

We decided that the toilets in our school were trampolines!!! We were dancing and jumping on them and guess what!??!

The one I was on me caved in.. cracked into pieces, and i fell straight into the puddles n glass……..I flew out of that bathroom and was traumatized for a while every time i saw the principle or anyone from the higher ups!

November 17, 2010 2:08 am at 2:08 am #710423theprof1ParticipantI’m about to top you all. I and a friend made gunpowder and stuffed it into a cough syrup bottle, went up to the roof of the dorm and lit it. It exploded and made a foot round hole in the roof. Yes we were scared sh–less.
