October 17, 2011 2:44 pm at 2:44 pm #817965i love coffeParticipantAll that Im going to say is that it works. It happened on numerous occasions. I once read it with a friend for her uncle to get engaged and within a month he got engaged!
October 17, 2011 2:48 pm at 2:48 pm #817966gefenParticipantmy husband started saying it every day when my mother in law was very sick in the hospital last year. the doctors had no hope. she is now B”H fine. he still says it every day.
October 17, 2011 3:05 pm at 3:05 pm #817967miritchkaMemberi said it as a zechus for a shidduch for someone close to me – Hashems answer must’ve been ‘not now’
October 17, 2011 3:58 pm at 3:58 pm #817968adorableParticipantwhat do you mean does it work? you sound like you think its a medication that heals all problems. Hashem can still decide that something is not good for you and say no! doesnt mean it didnt work. it just meant that those tefillos went to something else.
October 17, 2011 4:10 pm at 4:10 pm #817969cofeefanMemberi said it for a sick child but she was still niftar. when i told my mother i feel like i said it for nothing she said “who knows how long she was supposed to live? maybe your tefilos prolonged her life even just a bit?” so i feel like every tefila helps even if we dont get the END result we want
October 17, 2011 5:05 pm at 5:05 pm #817970Aishes ChayilParticipantIt certainly cant hurt.
However, with re- to segulas, I am of the opinion that the key to being helped is to be an erhlicher yid. Do wht G-d expects of you.
Try to be your best between friends and G-d.
These segulos dont want wash down any wrong doing and it certainly is not a replacent for teshuva!
October 17, 2011 6:15 pm at 6:15 pm #817971ToiParticipantthers no such thing as a tfilla that doesnt get answered. it can go to something else.the chazon ish said that a tatte ken zuggen “nein”.

Though I agree with most of your post wholeheartedly, I take exception to the first line. Putting your Bitachon in things other than hashem can be very hurtful, so you should be quite careful how you play with the perek shira stuff

October 17, 2011 9:42 pm at 9:42 pm #817974nnutsParticipantI know that my day always goes better when I say perek shira. Things usually go more smoothly for me on those days I say it. Not only that, my mood is different- calmer, happier somehow. My holy grandmother A”H requested I say it every day and gave me a bracha for each time I would.
And when I have those particularly hard days? It doesn’t last long like it used to and I also imagine things could have been much worse…. Hashem listens to our tefillos.
October 17, 2011 10:07 pm at 10:07 pm #817975Emunas ItechaMemberAdorable-I did not ask if it works. I asked if anyone has tried it. The two are very different.
Every tefilla you say can move mountains. If Hashems answer is no, the words and tefillos still never get lost. You can be helping so many people without even knowing. The alef bais letters that you brought out from your mouth add new light to the world.
I was simply asking if anyone has ever done it.
October 18, 2011 2:23 am at 2:23 am #817976mexipalParticipantpart of perek shira is to realize that the world is a song and hashem is the conductor.everything is in his hands and it’s all for the best. the zechus of bitachon alone helps
