How much are you saving for a rainy day?

When will you use those savings?

Why is a “rainy day” considered negative? Rain is necessary for life. We pray for G-d to provide rain.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to save for a drought?

    You can’t eat money.
On a rainy day, there are products available to buy.
When it doesn’t rain, there’s nothing to spend the money on.

It’s not negative. Rainy day could be that one cannot just take a walk outside because of one’s immune system, he or she may be advised to be cautious and not go running around getting cold and wet on a rainy day. So besides reading a book, cleaning the house, baking, playing a board game, or talking and napping (either separately or at the same time), one may find that having money is very useful since now this person can afford to drive an hour north where it’s not raining, or go to a science center, and/or go to the moon where it’s not raining. Flying to the moon is expensive. Ask NASA. Yepp yepp. 🙂
