This is about the article on the main site titled:
“Study: Going to Shul Reduces Death Risk by Almost 20 Percent”
It seems to me that the title does not match the article content. The study analyzed about 90,000 women participating in the Women’s Health Initiative and compared those who said they attended religious services with those who said they did not. This analysis included women of all religions, not just Jewish women.
I think the title was perhaps meant to give an amusing spin on the study. But people who didn’t read the article carefully (and if the comments are representative, this includes most of those who read it) assumed it was about Jewish women attending shul. While the study probably included some Jewish women, it would probably be safe to assume that most of the women in the study were not Jewish.
I just wanted to correct this.
