Why was it done in a stadium? would a siyum hashas been made in the Roman Coliseum or the olympiad if Jews were able to?
It may be that it was the best place suited for such a crowd. (really?) Yidden generally have no use for such public events other than as such, therefore we don’t build our own. (oh) But anyway I think it says something about stadiums becoming a place for Torah, or something to that effect.
