According to our Mashiach Agent.
When you need something, be it a job, a shidduch or something else, it’s not enough to daven and say tehillim, or even to try. It is also important to yearn for it. There is not enough yearning and that is why bad things happen.
People are too happy with the way things are. Their contentment is to blame for their sorrows.
The real truth about why the economy is so bad today is because money is our replacement for the asheira tree. This plutolatry is a sin and because of it our money could have to be taken from us Rachmana L’tzlan.
We’ve all heard stories of people who experienced miracles such as having a sick child recover or had a first child at 42. It’s because they cried out from their heart and really meant what they were saying when they davened. If we really cried out for the Bais Hamikdosh from our hearts and showed that we are missing it, then we wouldn’t still be in Golus today.
The sinas chinam is as bad if not worse than when the Bais Hamikdosh was destroyed. We must all come together.
Everyone thinks they are right. Really only one person is right. Everyone else has to do teshuva.

December 15, 2015 10:18 am at 10:18 am #1117005akupermaParticipantIf you think it is bad today, you should study history. This is a time of relative peace and prosperity. The past was much worse. For example, note the many schnorrers coming around looking for money to marry off their daughters – not to feed them, not to redeem them from slavery, etc. When we worry about physical security in America, we turn to the police rather than (as in the good old days) hide from the police.
December 15, 2015 1:15 pm at 1:15 pm #1117006👑RebYidd23ParticipantThat is precisely the problem! People are too happy with the way things are. Their contentment is to blame for their sorrows.
December 15, 2015 1:31 pm at 1:31 pm #1117007secretagentyidMemberRebyid–If only you cried and fasted as much as I do, you would see what a terrible situation the world is in. The world is in such a bad place, and people should just trust in Hashem and fast and cry and yearn for happiness and then they will be happy. I will be fasting 72 hour fasts as Hashem wants until moshiach comes. Maybe if everyone else would abandon their avoda zoro, throw away their money and instead trade with commerce, then Hashem would see how much we yearn for it. Hashem sends us messages, and I’m telling you these messages are that we must yearn, and you must all do teshuva now(unless you are already fasting and yearning and crying, in which case you’re perfect without the teshuva)
December 15, 2015 2:05 pm at 2:05 pm #1117008☕️coffee addictParticipantWhy do you have to go on a rant about moshiach’s agent? What did he do to bother you?
December 15, 2015 2:13 pm at 2:13 pm #1117009MenoParticipantIt’s not a rant, he’s just reiterating what Mashiach Agent says
December 15, 2015 2:22 pm at 2:22 pm #1117010👑RebYidd23ParticipantWhat rant?
December 15, 2015 3:03 pm at 3:03 pm #1117011zahavasdadParticipantThe difference between today and yesteryear is we know about things from places far away and have little to do with (on a personal level)
150 years ago if there was a fire in a shtel and a baby died (A common occurance) generally only the people in that shtel knew about it. Today if there is a fire 5000 miles away and a baby died, everyone knows about it and some use that and some sort of mussur
December 15, 2015 4:28 pm at 4:28 pm #1117012Mashiach AgentMemberevery generation the nisyonos from Hashem only get harder. each generation according to its level. today we are holding in the generation of technology. where the tumah of internet, & cell phones in shul distract a person & remove him from his relationship with Hashem.
Our job is to pass these tests from Hashem & each test a person passes brings him closer to Hashem & raises him to be ready for the next higher level test to get even closer to Hashem.
one fact that every jew knows (even the reform) is that if a person couldnt pass the test then Hashem wouldnt put him in that nisayon, so noone could ever ask Hashem why is this….(fill in your hard situation test of faith in Hashem) happening to me?
i am fortunate & so grateful to Hashem to still only have a flip phone & when i am on the web to only use it for my email & news & Maybe sometimes to buy something.
stay away from all your yetzer haras of the tumahs that the internet has & “GET WHAT YOU NEED NOT WHAT YOU WANT”
any person can go out to eat once a week or go on a vacation etc… BUT to go out to eat just to have a desired steak is called crazy.
December 15, 2015 4:41 pm at 4:41 pm #1117013HashemisreadingParticipantI think a part of the problem is that there is such an emphasis on being open-minded. People are so open-minded their brains fall out and they forget to think of what they themselves believe in. for example- its okay to daven form an iPhone because at least their davening. We don’t need to be so accepting of everyone!
mechanchim are so scared to reprimand people for their wrongdoings out of fear for turning them off. but that doesn’t help matters because then everyone is so content with their ways( like Rebyidd said) and they don’t even realize what their doing wrong and what their lacking!!
we need to have the strength to get up and say THAT IS WRONG! And we wont be accepting of that! instead of always justifying their actions!
December 15, 2015 4:43 pm at 4:43 pm #1117014MDGParticipantIt’s funny that you brought this up, as the Daf Yomi just finished Sotah, which mentions the decline on the state of the world. It seems to me that every generation pines for peace, respectfulness, and beauty of yesteryear.
December 15, 2015 5:03 pm at 5:03 pm #1117015👑RebYidd23ParticipantIf you’re not accepting of other people, they will leave you.

That is who i am: i am never afraid to speak up honestly for the sake of hashem or for the sake of doing the right thing etc… a person needs to do whats right & not be scared.
i have stopped thousands of people-in a nice way-from doing isurei melacha of shabbos & many other issurim by explaining to them what they were doing is assur. what many other people are too afraid to speak up. what about the chiyuv mitzva of “hocheach tocheach ess amisecha” to give mussar NICELY to those that need it?
December 15, 2015 6:02 pm at 6:02 pm #1117017👑RebYidd23ParticipantI didn’t say people were content with doing wrong things.
December 15, 2015 7:08 pm at 7:08 pm #1117018☕️coffee addictParticipantMemo (and rebyidd)
When there is no point before the post made in a thread, it’s not called reiterating
And starting a thread about how a person acts or talks is ranting, it seems like you don’t subscribe to his views (according to our moshiach’s agent)
Just wondering what caused this “reiteration”
December 15, 2015 7:35 pm at 7:35 pm #1117019MenoParticipantIt’s Meno (as in “Finding Meno”)
Not Memo
