On January 7, 2014, YWN reported the story about the donkey at Kfar Chabad. (See http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/news/headlines-breaking-stories/209153/abused-donkeys-removed-from-kfar-chabad-by-authorities.html.)

No source is reported and I cannot find any source on any Israeli websites or newspapers. Does anyone know the source of this story, or who the author was and what source s/he relied on?

I have not assumed anything. And absent a (reliable) source, I think it unlikely, although it remains in the realm of the possible.
