    Can anyone share what they know about Rav Chaim Volozhiner’s foresight almost 200 years ago that America will be “The Torah’s final station before the coming of Moshiach”.

    I read that Rav Chaim wept bitterly when he said it and Rav Dovid Tevel, the Minsker Rov, asked him why he was crying, and he responded that “this will be realized through great tribulation and suffering.”

    I think this is a very interesting topic. Why the US and not Australia?

    I don’t know “why”, but his prophesy certainly bore out. Well over a hundred years before the holocaust, he said that the Torah would move out of Europe and into America.
