How is it that Klal Yisrael suffered such a big tragedy last night, and yet we haven’t mentioned it once in the coffee room?
It’s so sad… Every one of the children that perished in the flames two nights ago had hopes and dreams, and because of our stupidity, they never had the chance to fulfill them.
Every time I think of what the parents must be going through, I totally fall apart. Try worked so hard to build a Bayis Ne’eman B’Yisrael, succeeded, and then had it all taken from them in a moment. At least the mother got the chance to kiss her children good night…
Isn’t it terrifying that this happened on the Shabbos of Parshas Vayikra, the same week that the Itamar massacre occurred, a few years ago? Hashem is crying out for us to accept His message… I only wish I knew what it is. Like, it’s definitely for us to do teshuva, but in what area? Where do we start?
Also, the Ribbnitzer Rebbitzen passed away, just a few hours ago. It’s so sad! I had the zechus to know her personally, and she was such an inspiring woman. She went through so much in her life, and somehow managed to smile all through it…
Anyways, not really sure what I’m trying to accomplish by posting this thread. I guess I feel like it’s wrong that such terrible things should happen to Klal Yisrael and we don’t even mention it on the coffee room.
May Hashem bring the geula bekarov…

March 22, 2015 2:22 pm at 2:22 pm #1066017a maminParticipantI did 7 hrs ago , but like you said , no one has been able to comment?
The loss is massive , you are right we all need to do teshuva. I guess each person knows where they need to. It’s an individual thing, each one separately . I feel numb right now , I can’t stop thinking of the family left behind….they will need tremendous chizuck….may Hakadush Baruch Hu console us all…

March 22, 2015 4:16 pm at 4:16 pm #1066020mw13ParticipantI think that many people, myself included, simply have no words. What can one say in the face of such a horrific tragedy? When one reads of neighbors waking up to a house ablaze and screams of “Mommy, help!”? Of a mother and daughter forced to jump from a fiery second story, leaving their family in the flames? Of a critically injured mother begging “save my children” before collapsing? Of firefighters finding nothing but seven small bodies? What reaction can there be, besides tears? There are no words for this.

March 23, 2015 10:35 am at 10:35 am #1066023Shopping613 ðŸŒParticipantThere’s really nothing to say. I spoke about it with tons of people, but what is there to write here?
