I, too, was on Country Yossi (twice) in the ’80s. I won a sefer in Eichler’s for getting the three questions correct. Around 1993 I was on every show on TalkRadio 77’s lineup. Getting on Rush was the hardest as the lines were always busy and it took weeks of trying. I still remember the dial-in number. I once went into 2 Penn Plaza and took the elevator to the 17th floor to see if I could see Rush, but all I could get to was into the hallway with the doors to WABC and its FM sister station. I once met him in Manhattan and got his book autographed. The others were relatively easy to get on, including Bob Grant, Jay Diamond, Curtis and Lisa Sliwa, Lynn Samuels, Ed Koch and Mayor Rudy Giuliani. I also was on Barry Gray on WOR and spoke to Gov.’s Mario Cuomo and George Pataki on their weekly WCBS call-ins. At the most recent Siyum HaShas I got (randomly) interviewed by Fox News.
