When reciting a Torah teaching, visualize the person who taught it, as if he were standing at your side. (Based on Tehillim, chapter 39, verse 7.)
HISTORICAL NOTE: This is the only mention of Rabbi Gidal in the Jerusalem Talmud, but he is mentioned more than 50 times in the Babylonian Talmud.
