Hi guys, long time no shmooze. I haven’t posted here in quite some time, in fact, I had this site K9ed, which brings me to my question.
I got a computer for work, which consists of storing, editing, and exporting hundreds of gigs of photos. (For those who remember my dabbling in photography, it has since become a large part of my income.)
I also use the internet. That needs a filter. My old computer had K9, but I do not want to download anything that’ll slow this new machine down. Can someone point me in the direction of a filter that will either block or notify a 3rd party about internet abuse and doesn’t require a download?
I don’t mind a small monthly fee if I gain in performance.

I was thinking the same thing. Especially if you have a computer specifically for photo editing and the like, I would imagine it is particularly fast.

Filter-Venishmartem Cloud Filter or K9
3rd party – Webchaver
August 24, 2016 8:47 pm at 8:47 pm #1171199ToiParticipantI just checked K9- 27000 writes, 8000 reads. Thats too much.
I don’t wan to lose the particularly-fast-keit to any filters.
gofish- have you looked up the actual tech specs, whether it uses RAM, CPU, etc.? Thanks
Thanks all- I’ll look into venishmartem and Webchaver
August 24, 2016 9:02 pm at 9:02 pm #1171200gofishMemberSorry Toi, I don’t remember if I did or didn’t. I do remember being pleasantly surprised at how fast everything was working – I had filters before that really slowed things down. I suggest you contact Webchaver directly and ask them that, they have helpful, fast support there.
