February 12, 2013 7:02 pm at 7:02 pm #929331Torah613TorahParticipantI’m told by my younger siblings that I’m too mature to dress up this year.
February 12, 2013 7:16 pm at 7:16 pm #929332snowbunny3318MemberIf your a girl- just wear a snood (unless you are actually married, in which case, wear a party city wig that is like pink hair or something.
February 12, 2013 7:56 pm at 7:56 pm #929333Torah613TorahParticipantSnowbunny: That’s so boring. When I’m a Bubby I am totally going to dress up. And I won’t let my sons marry girls who don’t dress up on Purim.

Does the Shadchan know this?
February 12, 2013 11:04 pm at 11:04 pm #929335Shoe store assistantMemberI saw a brilliant costume, although it wasn’t original in as of itself,
a guy dressed up in a clown costume a couple sizes too big, and closed the neck over his head, with a massive hook poking out the top.
Then he held a wighead with a full clown’s head, hat etc…
It was done reallly really well, and looked amazing.

February 13, 2013 9:52 am at 9:52 am #929337snowbunny3318MemberI understand that it is boring, but the price was right… I have not bought myself an actual costume in years. When I was at home, I had this dress that I bought before I became religious that I would wear a shell and a longer skirt underneath and get a “wand” and pretend I was a fairy, because the dress was one of those types of dresses that was nice, but also good for shtick. I didn’t bring it to Israel with me because I didn’t have room in my suitcase for it. And I am tired of dressing up as the same thing every year anyway. But I don’t just want to spend a ton of money on something I would only wear one day. Especially because I am the only girl in my home in the states (other than my mom).
