Recently, for some reason, every time I click on anything in gMail, it logs me out and makes me retype my password. Anyone have the same problem? Anyway to fix it?
August 11, 2010 3:33 am at 3:33 am #894562Sister BearMemberHelp!!!! I just tried to check my gmail and it’s not letting me in. It said my account is temporarily unavailable!!! Does anyone know why??????
Good luck d a. I think my account did that but it should continue as normal soon. Go on google help http://mail.google.com/support/ and ask them about it. Good luck!
August 11, 2010 1:49 pm at 1:49 pm #894563Dr. PepperParticipantWhen I connected my GMail account to Outlook and synchronized them for the first time it locked me out for 24 hours. It said that based on the data traffic it looked as if I was using my account for purposes other than what it was designed for.
The message was kind of vague but I learned my lesson.

What did you do wrong that you needed to learn your lesson? There is nothing wrong with using Outlook with Gmail.
August 13, 2010 12:53 am at 12:53 am #894565Dr. PepperParticipantI learned not to do it again.
Can one only learn a lesson when doing something wrong?
August 13, 2010 4:08 am at 4:08 am #894566plaidMemberGoogle updated gmail yesterday – the look, functionality, efficiency, etc. – so it’s possible that they closed it for a bit. Are you still having issues?

I learned not to do it again.
There is nothing wrong with synchronizing Outlook and Gmail.
August 16, 2010 1:55 am at 1:55 am #894568Dr. PepperParticipantThis happened five years ago, things may have changed since then.
When I was investigating the lock-down the only thing I thought may have caused it was the massive amount of data being downloaded in a short amount of time. The lock down occurred twice (each time after attempting to synchronize Outlook). I haven’t attempted it since and I haven’t been locked out since.
August 30, 2012 6:21 pm at 6:21 pm #894569Kosher HamMemberI have a problem with GMail when using an iOS device with VPN turned on. Apparently, GMail thinks it’s being possibly hacked when I try to send out e-mail when using a VPN at a public wi-fi hotspot. It won’t send the e-mail & then it notifies me that there was a possible hack attempted on my account. But it’s me through the VPN’s server.
Any ideas for a remedy to make it work?

August 30, 2012 9:11 pm at 9:11 pm #894571lebidik yankelParticipantsounds like a cookie issue – make sure your browser allows cookies. Otherwise next time you visit gmail it has no idea that you were the fellow logged in last time. Go to options, privacy or something like that.
August 31, 2012 10:22 pm at 10:22 pm #894572CuriosityParticipantI hate yahoo… they charge money for email forwarding (POP3). Everyone else does it for free!
