    Which areas in NY have the most outages? I know midtown is totally out, parts of Brooklyn as well. What about Queens? Stay safe everyone!

    Lower Manhattan and other large portions of Manhattan is out. Even traffic lights. Even ConEd’s headquarters lost power! (They restored that building with some backup generators.)

    The winds are still pretty strong regardless of the terminology. it ain’t over til it’s over.

    Public schools are closed. I assume some Queens schools might re-open wwhere there is power. Far Rockaway is less likely to re-open that soon. Call your school administrators to find out.
