Has the population of frum Yidden today yet reached the demographics of how many frum Yidden there were worldwide before the Holocaust?
Note that most of the Holocaust victims were frum Yidden, so the percentage of Yidden who were frum before the war was much greater than the percentage in the immediate aftermath of the war.

I don’t know that the vast majority of those killed in the Holocaust were ‘Frum’ Yidden. I believe the term Ero-traditional may be more appropriate. In most small town/village Eastern Europe there was only one style of shul/davening. People complied to a standard of religious living in public, but perhaps not in private or in thought.
There were many Jews in big cities who were not ‘frum’ who were carted off and killed.February 3, 2018 10:51 pm at 10:51 pm #1461715lesschumrasParticipantJoseph , i believe you are mistaken about pre war europe. Remember, millions of Jews jad already spent decades in the Soviet Union and many were no longer frum. Also, keep in mind that more and more young Jews had left the shtetls in the 1930s for Warsaw andother metropolitan areas.

And while it is also true that far fewer people had advanced Torah knowledge than today where most everyone completes Mesivta and many spend several years in Beis Medrash and typically a couple of years in kollel, in kollel, the vast majority of Yidden, perhaps as many as you 80%, were frum and tremendous maaminim. To wuote Rav Yaakov ztzvk”l, emuna was taught to children while still in their carriages (i.e. they saw and heard living emuna.
February 4, 2018 8:37 am at 8:37 am #1461788zahavasdadParticipantIn Pre-war Europe most of the jews in the Shtetls were religious, however most of the jews in the Cities were not.
In Warsaw , jews voted in general elections for their own parties and the largest vote getter was the Bund (A Non-Religious, Socialist, Anti-Zionist faction) . The Bund was also behind the Warsaw ghetto uprising (They were able to get other factions to join them which was generally impossible elsewhere because the large Aktion took place in the Summer of 1942 and the 60,000 jews remaining realized there was no other option)
