Here I am in Brooklyn and I’m housebound for the past 3 days and the streets are still not plowed!!!!!!!!! The buses aren’t running, there is no mail, only one train in hupitzville is running and I’m angry. I’m so so angry that our city can’t deal with a few feet of snow like they’ve never seen this before. We pay taxes!! Im angry who’s with me??
December 28, 2010 7:30 pm at 7:30 pm #964878Trying my bestMemberA lot its gonna help. Save you’re anger for something you can do something about.
December 28, 2010 7:36 pm at 7:36 pm #964879TheGoqParticipanthow many trains does hupitzville need?
December 28, 2010 7:37 pm at 7:37 pm #964880wanderingchanaParticipantI don’t know about Brookyn, but in the rest of the tri-state area, the blizzard didn’t start until Sunday afternoon, and it’s only Tuesday…
December 28, 2010 7:38 pm at 7:38 pm #964881ontheballMemberI’m with you all the way!! I have a home based business with lots of packages that have to go out, but the mail carrier can’t get here!!!! And I can’t get to the post office, because we have abandoned cars on my block-& of course it wasn’t plowed!!!!
December 28, 2010 7:39 pm at 7:39 pm #964882emailsnotallowedParticipantthere is no use in getting angry you cant do anything about it. And i agree save your anger for something else
December 28, 2010 8:15 pm at 8:15 pm #964883dunnoMemberNo use getting angry but I agree that it’s really really annoying.
December 28, 2010 8:18 pm at 8:18 pm #964884Ma ChovasoMemberNo I’m passionate about this and I’m angry because there is no excuse for people to have to be dying because ambulances can’t get through! This is brooklyn not hicksville! (Yes Hicksville is a real place)
And Goq, this is not hupitzville I meant the only train in brooklyn running is in hupitz.
December 28, 2010 9:12 pm at 9:12 pm #964885NonsenseMemberHow about pulling down the ‘No Parking’ signs from all the streets that haven’t been plowed. If there is no sanitation what do we need ‘No Parking’ for?
That will probably send a loud message to city hall that we, in fact DO exist.
December 28, 2010 10:00 pm at 10:00 pm #964886yoyo56Memberanyone know what streets were plowed?
December 28, 2010 10:27 pm at 10:27 pm #964887musictomyearsMemberuse the time to work on your anger
at least its more productive than complaining!
December 28, 2010 10:40 pm at 10:40 pm #964888smartcookieMemberI’m with you oh yeah.
Our city has chutzpah. We pay our last pennies to them and all we get is NUFFING…..
Seriously, this is crazy. They can’t deal with some snow, how can they deal with bigger problems?
December 28, 2010 10:52 pm at 10:52 pm #964889estherhamalkaMemberMa chovoso-I agree wholeheartedly,and then some.
Now what? This is absolutely ridiculous. We have been out of school,we need to shop,we haven’t been plowed not even once, you can’t even walk out there…I keep hoping we don’t have any emergencies cuz no one can get to us if we did. Hashem yishmor.
December 28, 2010 11:32 pm at 11:32 pm #964890cofeefanMemberwell said smartcookie!!!!!
but don’t worry…. “broadway is open”…. the nerve of the mayor to put the needs of the tourists first before the newyorkers who pay waaaay too much in taxes
December 29, 2010 12:26 am at 12:26 am #964891Thin IceMemberConey Island has been plowed… but the snow is piled up by the sidewalk very high…
December 29, 2010 1:05 am at 1:05 am #964892Flatbush DudeMemberHere I am in Israel and I’m running for the past 3 days and the streets are still beautiful!!!!!!!!! The buses are running, there is plenty of mail, only one train in hupitzville isn’t running and I’m happy. I’m so so elated that our city doesn’t have to deal with a few feet of snow like they’ve never seen this before. We pay taxes!! Im happy who’s with me?? Come move here!!!
December 29, 2010 1:53 am at 1:53 am #964893houseofjavaMemberJust got this link in an email…. its a link to 311 website to report unplowed streets…. exaggerate as much as you can so that someone on the other end will consider sending more plows to your area…. http://tinyurl.com/2g7alwv
December 29, 2010 2:02 am at 2:02 am #964894shev143MemberA City is the reflection of its’ citizens. Everyone is complaining about the City not cleaning the streets, while most people have not cleaned up their own sidewalks.
December 29, 2010 2:15 am at 2:15 am #964895rtParticipantwith a storm of such severity a state of emergency should have been declared- no driving except emergency vehicles. there was a car stuck yesterday in the intersection where I live ALL DAY, why was this person driving on a street that hadn’t been plowed at all??
December 29, 2010 2:33 am at 2:33 am #964896TheGoqParticipantas far as bloomberg is concerned the outer boroughs may just as well be outer mongolia if its not manahattan he doesn’t care
December 29, 2010 3:17 am at 3:17 am #964897Ma ChovasoMemberYea they plowed Times Square so the ball can drop on New Years. Insanity.
December 29, 2010 3:37 am at 3:37 am #964898mazal77Participanti just wanna know because, I am hearing the complaints about no plows in the 4 of the 5 boros. I would like to hear from a Manhattanite how was the snow removal handled. B/c I haven’t heard them complain.

August 23, 2011 6:34 pm at 6:34 pm #964907yossi z.MemberI spent ten hours straight (no breaks) getting cars, vans, jeeps, and even a truck unstuck and out. That was just a section of 18th ave (from ocean parkway to coney island). Wow talk about memories. The soreness didn’t go away for a few days.
😀 Zuberman! 😀

July 11, 2013 12:13 am at 12:13 am #964926squeakParticipantThis is the third year in a row that you bumped this? Why does a thread like this deserve so much attention?
