I’ve been disturbed for a while about the pictures and video features that are here on YWN. I understand people being curious about things that occur and feeling “closer to the action” by seeing it “live”. But what about other people’s privacy? Aren’t we just serving our own interests at the expense of others? The regular news base all of their interest stories on that. They invade people’s privacy, tell lot of juicy Lashon Harah, etc.
I should hope that we, as frum Jews, are above that!
Why is it necessary for us to see the crash sight or the wounded being wheeled out (believe me, they would do anything for people to not be there staring!) or the burned house?
Maybe it’s time to make a cheshbon hanefesh?
