April 25, 2018 9:17 pm at 9:17 pm #1511636BMG_GuyParticipantI started this topic a few months ago and would like to ask again… Does anyone know of a none-mixed photography class in Brooklyn?
April 25, 2018 10:39 pm at 10:39 pm #1511652GadolhadorahParticipantThere are several programs at the Brooklyn Museum of Art that offer programs in mixed media including using colored filters in combination with digital photography and various lithographic techniques. They also have a course in use of traditional film photography in combination with other media in a collage format. These courses are also very reasonably priced and some are offered on weekdays.

These days, it’s a big gamble to assume investing thousands of dollars in education in photography will ever pay off. If you’re planning on opening a business, my advice would be to read/watch/learn on your own, open for business, see where it’s heading, and decide from there if you want to invest serious cash in education.
April 26, 2018 10:08 am at 10:08 am #1511777Reb EliezerParticipantSome courses are offered through DVD’s on the thegreatcourses.

I ask you again the same question I asked back in November. What about photography do you want to learn?

April 27, 2018 8:21 am at 8:21 am #1512585prayerParticipantI agree. Today with digital photography you can learn eeverything online.

April 29, 2018 12:14 pm at 12:14 pm #1513068WolfishMusingsParticipantWolf, do you publish those pictures?
Yes, I do. I have a website. If you know my name (it’s only a semi-secret now), you can easily find it.

Hello so I’m a candid photographer.
Isn’t there some Frum organization that helps find the right class?May 1, 2018 10:38 am at 10:38 am #1514307WolfishMusingsParticipantHello so I’m a candid photographer.
Isn’t there some Frum organization that helps find the right class?I don’t know if there is any such organization focused on photography.
The reason I asked is because I tend to do landscape/cityscape shots. It’s not quite the same thing you’re interested in, but the basics of photography are still the same. If you want, I’d be more than happy to spend a few hours one late afternoon in NYC, showing you the basics of exposure (shutter speed, aperture, ISO), composition, etc. — and probably for a lot less than an organization would charge you (read: free) -and, of course, it’s not mixed.

May 2, 2018 7:21 am at 7:21 am #1514594ToiParticipantWhat do you mean by candid? Candid family portraits, candid street photography, candid wedding photography? Not really enough info.
May 2, 2018 4:01 pm at 4:01 pm #1515017TemporaryParticipantTTI has a photography course with a mens track.
Google “tti photography course”May 3, 2018 8:59 am at 8:59 am #1515249ToiParticipantYou could try enrolling in an online course. Problem would be that they probably work with female models, which could be annoying, they probably whine all day…
May 3, 2018 5:03 pm at 5:03 pm #1515511👑RebYidd23ParticipantThat’s ambitious.
