    I declare today to be pass a smile day smile at someone you wouldn’t normally smile at and lets start a chain reaction.

    great idea. Truth be told I’m not a smiley type of guy but I’ll give it a shot for just this one day because I know how important it is, and the potential positive effect it can have on others.

    be careful with this one it could end you in jail if you smile at the wrong person. who knows how a stranger may interpret a smile.

    I always try to smile at people I see on the streets but some of them are sketchy and creepy. Then when I turn away from some I feel bad because maybe I am just being stereotypical..

    It’s hard to distinguish haha

    Turning your back on someone or looking away may be offensive to many.

    :)) Just because YK is the greatest day in the jewish calander!! After aaaaaall those sloppy avairos this past year, it’s nice to give my neshama a good scrub ‘n clean, I always feel sooooo clean after YK, like I got a fantastic “spiritual shower” for my neshama, and come out smellin’ just fiiiine!!!!!

    Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

    Daven hard, fast easy, maybe even cry,…. but always smile!!

    Baal Habooze, I like your take on YK. A ‘spiritual shower” is a wonderful thing. I often feel like that after Shabbat services, particularly if the Parsha was inspiring, the davening and Torah reading were great and even the sermon was interesting. I suppose I should think of YK as a “spiritual schvitz” as it is a much deeper cleansing and must last a year, B’H’. I have so much to be thankful for and the coming year promises to bring even more great things (my first trip to Eretz), so I shall definitely be keeping your words in mind. Todah Rabah.
