Come to think of it,if you’re afraid of Hashem, you have nothing to fear in a tax audit.

March 11, 2011 12:34 am at 12:34 am #939177always hereParticipantoy! how do I tie in my younger daughter to your question, eclipse?
my older daughter was gonna drive me to your film (she had her sons’ Yeshiva Neshei Tea to attend). I even dyed my hair, <cuz some shows in the front of my teichel or snood, oops! wrong thread!>; planned on what I’d wear; & even fantasized about introducing myself as ‘always here’….
(argh.. I should’ve written about my friend’s visit on THIS thread instead of ‘Truth is stranger than fiction”.)
so my friend, who I went to yeshiva with in Israel in ’76, came in from the Midwest for a wedding. we haven’t seen each other in 20+ yrs.
she said she’d be checking out of her Manhattan hotel & then coming to B’klyn to see me. I figured she’d be by me around 2 at the latest. but my lovable shlamazel friend, first left her phone & camera in the car service, then had to wait for the driver to return it; checked into Midwood Suites after 4pm, (to find the man in her bed). stopped by her 86 year old & 91 y.o. cousins. came to me 5:30ish. I had told her I had plans. when I spoke with another really good friend & explained my dilemma, she said I really should choose getting together with my old friend, cuz she’s human (seriously, she said that… no reference to your subtitle, lol), & I had to agree. the visit lasted ’til 9:40. I thought about bringing her to the film, but she was wearing jeans; I didn’t think that would reallyy be a problem, but 1) she wasn’t into going & 2)I would’ve felt a little uncomfortable making my first impression like that.
I felt sooo badly cuz I REALLY did want to show you my support! :/

March 21, 2013 4:34 pm at 4:34 pm #939189Torah613TorahParticipantThat one’s too long and discontinuous. Here you have to stay on your own topic. (My topic is currently how this thread is the best.)
March 21, 2013 4:36 pm at 4:36 pm #939190🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantbecause in parallel conversations I think people actuall THINK they are talking to each other.
