April 6, 2017 1:05 am at 1:05 am #1251712Little FroggieParticipantI have NO COMPLAINTS to HaShem fo rgiving us this especial Mitzvah. A mitzvah where we could put in our very heart, soul, body – all for the Great Boss up there.
April 6, 2017 1:54 am at 1:54 am #1251720yungermanSParticipantAs a person who spent many pesachs in hotel programs working. And seeing how it goes with the entire program from food to entertainment etc… The one most important thing I learnt was that THERE IS STILL NOTHING LIKE MAKING PESACH AT HOME
trust me after spending over a decade away from home for Pesach and SO HAPPY TO BE BACK HOME FOR PESACH
April 6, 2017 4:59 pm at 4:59 pm #1252376zaltzvasserParticipantTHANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to whoever changed the color in my OP!
@IsaacZoooss96- great advice.
@LittleFroggie- you must be a guy.
@yungermanS – I think we should all pick option C – go to someone else in the family for Pesach. This way, there is no cleaning and no hotels. Brilliant, no?April 6, 2017 9:58 pm at 9:58 pm #1252476Lilmod UlelamaidParticipantLF – +1!
Zaltzvasser – he is a guy, but that has nothing to do with it. He has mentioned in the past that he does a lot of the Pesach cleaning.
Isaac – Oy! I feel so bad for people who have OCD this time of year! I don’t know if I can think of anything more torturous than having OCD Erev Pesach! That must be a nightmare.
I do agree with LF and it bothers me when people are too negative about Pesach cleaning, but I definitely sympathize with people who have OCD this time of year and I hope that their Geulah comes soon so they can truly appreciate all aspects of Pesach including cleaning for chometz!!

you got me this time cause this pesach i am actually going away to family & not making pesach at home
April 7, 2017 1:42 pm at 1:42 pm #1252754iacisrmmaParticipantGenerally the complaints are not the pesach cleaning but the “spring cleaning” that accompanies it.
April 7, 2017 3:07 pm at 3:07 pm #1252777Little FroggieParticipantZaltzvasser: How’d you guess?
However, I do about half of all the Pesach cleaning, and then there’s kashering, papering (the hardest!). And then I’m busy a lot of nights (till 1:00am+) in a Matzah bakery, doing a strenuous, tiring part. On my feet. Straight, for many hours. No, it’s easy. But it’s a privilege. A way of giving a something to the Ribono Shel Olam. With our entire body. A precious Mitzvah!!
April 7, 2017 4:04 pm at 4:04 pm #1252808zaltzvasserParticipantWow. That’s actually really inspiring, and it makes me feel a lot better about cleaning. Thank you, LF.
