Has anyone heard anything about these esrogim regarding not buying certain types or anything along those lines? I heard from someone not to get one (reliable source) and can’t remember what they said the reason was.

Isn’t there some problem with bringing anything with kedushas shevi’is from Eretz Yisroel to Chu”l? I thought EY esrogim stayed here, because of this halocho.
The Rav from our “pre-aliyah” shule in Baltimore actually made arrangements to ship etrogim back to E”Y.
