Oh my goodness… thanks for telling me. Since I have only one brain, I must now go out to the brain store, find another brain for myself (and everyone else in my family since they also have only one brain each) and find a way to stuff the additional brains into our heads. Perhaps up through our nostrils might be the best way.

    Off to the brain store…

Why are all these alternative therapies so popular here in Lakewood?

Those that have no idea what it is condemn it. Usually, those who are against one form of alternative therapy are against them all. I wonder how many would be Mattir stone healing, that Rabbeinu Bachye speaks of.

In being involved in a problematic situation, i was asked to look into this Brain One quick fix therapy. In asking around and speaking to reputable people in Eretz Yisroel it was a 20% positive and 80% negative. I also spoke to someone who is very involved in Shalom Bayis between children and parents, chosson and kallah and couples who said it should be called No Brain. When it was presented to me it sounded somewhat like the Wolf commented above, Brain Washout that just spins what’s in your head and when settles you are back to where you started. The difference is someone is a few dollars richer. In Eretz Yisroel the rate was 60% more in Yerushalayim for this (diservice) than in Bnei Brak!!

Just to be fair (and for the record), I have no idea what “one brain” is and, in fact, never heard of it at all before reading this thread. I was merely taking advantage of the opportunity to make a joke, that’s all.

Actually, Rav Wosner in Monsey was Mattir it. People lump everything they don’t understand into one spoon, and call it Avoda Zara and Kishuf. By the way, is it really Assur to heal with Kishuf? The Rashba didn’t think so.

Well, since I am often told that I have no brain, I guess I am safe in that I am not transgressing an issur d’oreisah.

Well a lot of jokes have been made.

    Several critiques have been made.

Some halachic views have been expressed.

    NOW…

Could someone who knows what “one brain” is, or means, please explain it to the rest of us???

i just took a look at their website.

    it is total obvious baloney

heres a small quote wherein they describe the “system” in a nutshell:

    i hope they meant “holistic”

    From their website…

Our approach is very gentle and non-invasive, where individuality and individual freedom of Choice are respected through the tender regard for human dignity and ethical co-operation; where respect for one’s integrity is directly related to the highest good of oneself AND the highest good of all.

One Brain to rule them all, One Brain to find them…..

Wolf, I’ve been to the brain store, thinking that I could get an auxiliary one for when my main is offline and thereby work all day and night. The prices in the store are quite varied. For example, the salesman showed me a physician’s brain, 35 years old, $50k. A lawyer’s brain, 42 years old, $45k. Then he showed me a blogger’s brain, 48 years old, for which he wanted an astounding $1.2 million! When I asked why the blogger’s brain was such priced at such an astronomical figure while the physician and lawyer brains were so much more reasonable, he shrugged and replied, “Never been used.”

As a blogger, I suppose I can vouch that that’s 100% true (at least in my case).

why buy a brain, when you can just borrow one:

There is a brain bank at Mclean Hospital in Belmont, MA. Its proper name is the Harvard Brain Tissue Resource Center. There is one in New York at Columbia University, too. THey are a resource for researchers who are seeking reasons and cures for neurological and mental diseases, may their successes come soon!
