I’ve been looking for the past 3 years or so for a few old tapes that I used to have but have been lost in the “black hole” of my house. I’ve checked every Jewish music store and online.
I got a psak that if someone I know has them, I am permitted to copy them being that they are not accessible in any way any more, so I figured I’d ask on here to see if any of my CR friends have these tapes and if so… I’ll figure the next step out. š
That being said does anyone have:
1. Pintele Yid – by Schwebel Scharf Levine
2. Mayer and Me ( an old kids tape… one of my favorites!)
3. and Rochel Miller tapes
I guess I’ll post more when I remember !
Thanks in advance!

Seriously I’ve looked everywhere…
Mostly music

Thats kind of geneiva. People today dont understand that just because you own something it does not give you the right to send it to all your friends. Its because of this that our jewish music markey is flooded with junk when the kings of music dont make albums because it doesnt pay

December 20, 2011 2:16 am at 2:16 am #1147712ā DaasYochid āParticipantWhat do i get if I already have Pintele Yid? š
I liked Pintele Yid. I loved Areshes S’foseinu. One of the all time underrated albums in Jewish music.

December 20, 2011 2:47 am at 2:47 am #1147714Feif UnParticipantDaasYochid: The actual song Areshes S’foseinu was not their original tune. The low part was taken from a secular Israeli band called Kaveret (aka Poogy). They are more well known for the song Yo-Ya, which they originally wrote.
December 20, 2011 2:53 am at 2:53 am #1147715ā DaasYochid āParticipantFeif Un,
Interesting. What was the original Poogy song called?
December 20, 2011 5:09 pm at 5:09 pm #1147716AlexParticipantIn regards to Shwebel, Scharf and Levine, the brand new Schwebel Scharf and Levine 4 was just released. If you buy it you automatically get bonus, “The Pintele Yid” album!! Go to mostlymusic.com for more info.
December 20, 2011 6:23 pm at 6:23 pm #1147717Feif UnParticipantDaasYochid: I believe it was called Shi’ur Moledet, but I might be mistaken. I just checked that because I think it was the last song on an album I have, and that’s the name of the last song according to the site I checked.
December 30, 2011 8:57 am at 8:57 am #1147718ā DaasYochid āParticipantYes, you’re right, thanks.
December 30, 2011 1:48 pm at 1:48 pm #1147719Feif UnParticipantNo problem. Are you actually a fan of Poogy? Good to know I’m not the only one!
December 30, 2011 7:43 pm at 7:43 pm #1147720ā DaasYochid āParticipantSorry, I’m not (although I’m sure you’re not the only one). I had actually never heard them before (although I had heard of them).
I was able to verify on a site which has a very large Jewish music archive which I generally only use for the frum stuff (which is a small minority of their collection).
