With Trump set to lose re-election, the situation for Jews in America and Israel isn’t easy. We will face a radical agenda by Kamala Harris to push socialist policy. A Biden administration will roll back all progress Trump made with Israel; they’ll bring back the Iran deal and cozy up to Hamas. As always we need help from Hashem to get through this. I know there are democrat jews in this group. Why doesn’t a Biden/Harris administration make you nervous.
November 5, 2020 10:06 am at 10:06 am #1917076Sam KleinParticipantYou ask NOW WHAT?
With a corrupt democratic party planning to run this country and not value our values of torah and many other negatives involved YOU and all of us yidden better be prepared to head to Israel ASAP before things get worse C”V and this entire country becomes a big communist country.
Let’s help ourselves out with a true tragic parable that happened not long ago that there are some still alive today to have experienced it R”L. “how much before WWII started were our brethren father’s warned to leave europe and head either to Israel or the USA etc… But for sure do not remain in europe??? Anyone know the answer? How much percentage listened to our leaders and took their advice and immediately left europe and boruch Hashem due to that their lives were saved?
If C”V we start heading in that direction with a new social communist democratic government and a growth of anti semitism C”V as we all see happening. How long will it take us to see how serious of a situation we are in and this is no joking matter?
May we all wake up ASAP to face reality and come back together as one loving nation for serious teshuva and achdus ASAP
November 5, 2020 10:07 am at 10:07 am #1917075GadolhadorahParticipant1. I wish Joe Biden would have the unfettered ability to radically change American policies across the board you assume will be the case. The reality is that is WON’T happen either in foreign or domestic policy. The great Blue Wave that the fringe left of the Democratic Party was predicting never happened. There was sadly, no repudiation of Trump, either at a personal or policy level. We are a country divided virtually right down the middle. Mitch McConnell will still be managing the Senate and in a position to block both Biden appointees and priorities just as he did for 8 years with Obama. Further, there is a stronger segment of the Democratic moderates who will blame the left for the party’s failure to capture the Senate and send a message to the Trump wing of the party.
Bottom line: We are in for more gridlock and divided government and its unclear what it will take to achieve a working consensus in the middle with the toxic polarization made starkly clear by Tuesday’s election.November 5, 2020 10:25 am at 10:25 am #1917084Reb EliezerParticipant1, what you say is a lie. As Sam Klein says, everything is the hands of Hashem, so nothing bad will happen.

November 5, 2020 12:57 pm at 12:57 pm #1917113RABBAIMParticipantWE need to refresh ourselves that laiv melachim vsarim byad Hashem and as the Chovos Halevavos says, if we trust in Hashem- He will take charge. If we trust in others, Hashem will let them decide for us…. it depends on our level of dependency and bitachon. Tine to re-learn Shaar Nabitachon and daven for real to Hashem to take care of us.
Talk with HIM for real…. dont just recite words, full hearted conversation with Hashem.November 5, 2020 1:57 pm at 1:57 pm #1917121commonsaychelParticipant@Catch Yourself, sorry you were awarded the Chicken Little title for your constant complaining that the shuls should not open
November 5, 2020 1:57 pm at 1:57 pm #1917123Amil ZolaParticipantEven if Biden secures the electoral college votes needed for a victory little will happen with regards to legislation. As long as the Senate is under Republican control the policy of saying NO has been established since Boehner was Senate majority leader.
November 5, 2020 2:01 pm at 2:01 pm #1917131Always_Ask_QuestionsParticipant@Rabbaim >> dont just recite words, full hearted conversation with Hashem.
theoretical point: you can not daven for what already happened. Classical – if you hear cries fromthe town, you can not daven that your house did not burn. Modern: you cannot daven for having more vote after an election…
I guess you can daven that no fake votes are counted
November 5, 2020 2:56 pm at 2:56 pm #1917157commonsaychelParticipantHashem sent the refuah before the makkah, a net change of one senator and both new Dem senators are moderates, at least 15 seats will flip red forcing Pelosi to compromise.
November 5, 2020 4:20 pm at 4:20 pm #19171641ParticipantThe 2 GA senate races will go to a run-off. If the Dems flip those seats it will be 50/50 with Harris as the tie-breaker. That wouldn’t be good.
November 5, 2020 4:20 pm at 4:20 pm #1917167Reb EliezerParticipantWhat will be the refuah?
November 5, 2020 4:21 pm at 4:21 pm #1917172DovidBTParticipantyou cannot daven for having more vote after an election…
But there are still votes remaining to be counted. And investigations may reveal that many of the already counted votes are fraudulent. There’s nothing wrong with davening for a favorable outcome in those cases.
November 5, 2020 4:42 pm at 4:42 pm #1917192GadolhadorahParticipantDovidBT:
We should daven that there are “raudulent votes” so as to give legitimacy to the Trumpkopf’s tweets??? Have you ever heard of a barahcha l’vatalah??

Asleep at the wheel….
November 6, 2020 9:13 am at 9:13 am #1917321Abba_SParticipantIt’s been 3 days and we still don’t know who the president will be, nor which party controls both houses of Congress. Although it’s probably going to be the Republicans control the Senate while the democrats control the House of Representatives. This will result in gridlock and possible government shutdown in the middle of a pandemic which may result in the Democrats losing the hose in 2022.
If Biden wins there will be a rematch in 2024 as Trump will claim they stole the election. If Trump wins the Democrats will likewise claim they stole the election.November 6, 2020 11:57 am at 11:57 am #1917357GadolhadorahParticipantAs Biden’s deputy campaign manager just tweeted in response to multiple “now what” and “what if” questions from the media regarding Trump’s implicit threats to ignore the election outcome:
“The Secret Service and and other federal agencies have long-standing plans and procedures for removing anyone found to be trespassing on the White House grounds”.
Interesting that AG Barr and FBI Director Wray have been deliberately invisible the past several days and have not been participants in the Trumpkopf’s media circus on election fraud and irregularities (leaving the circus ring to Crazy Rudy)
November 6, 2020 3:41 pm at 3:41 pm #1917398emes nisht shekerParticipantWray seems to have kept his distance from Trump over the years allowing the FBI to maintain some semblance of independence during the past few years so not surprising he is not jumping into the fray here.
Bill Barr, may be having some second thoughts already. Trump already expressed his upset with him over the lack of “results” in prosecutions of political foes. Now with it becoming clearer that Trump is out of office, it might just be that Barr has no interest in sticking his neck on the line more than he has already. Barr, is not going to have another government job, and anyone on the Trump bandwagon trying to undermine an election with improper claims about fraud (especially as we see that these claims are risking leading to deadly violence) is likely risking any future career. Kayleigh McEnany is already coming across like Baghdad Bob. Just outright lying and trying to deny votes that people cast under what they were told was the rules at the time. Voting is the bedrock of democracy and this is what Trump and his accomplices is trying to undermine.
It is one thing to provide evidence that there is voter fraud or legitimate issues with the vote that need to be addressed, but to attempt to undermine a whole election and trigger people to commit violence is treasonous to the principles of American democracy.
Hopefully, congress will unite with one voice to condemn this attack on Democracy and make it clear that there is no possibility that Trump will ever have another term in office.
I get it that there are those who think Trump is good to Israel or this policy or that and that is why they want Trump as president, but to ignore the danger of undermining the foundations of Democracy and what that can mean for our future peaceful existence in the US is a bit much. People in office striving to uphold the principles of Democracy, I think, is far more important than specific legislation.
