Last night, my friend told me about this cigar club (Carnegie Club, 56th and 6th) that was having a cigar and bourbon tasting. And free.
So I immediately called a friend, and asked if he was up for some immediate adventure. He wasn’t, but the next one was. And so we went.
We drank some fine Rough Rider bourbon which is made on long island. And they gave us some fine cigar or another.
So my friend didn’t smoke it because he doesn’t smoke. But I also don’t smoke, but I smoked it anyway because that is what you do in a cigar club. (I hate smoking)
But I don’t know how to smoke it, so I just sort of puffed a bit, and when I was afraid it would go out, I blew hard through it (so blew the wrong way).
And then we were there for a long time, so we wanted to leave. But I still had cigar left. So I smoked in on the drive back, with the windows open, and may or may not have flicked the stump out the window over the median on the LIE (certainly not at a car).
And now everything smells like cigar smoke. My clothes smell like cigar, my car smells like cigar, my kids smell like cigar, my lawnmower smells like cigar. And I don’t even like cigar.
Oh, and friend number 1 was there on a date, but I had asked if he minded if we came. Now that is hard core dating, in a cigar club.
