/frustrated/
Are you a nice person? Is this something to strive for?
I try to be a very pleasant person. I am friendly. I compliment often. I avoid controversy like the plague.
I won’t let you look at or take pictures of my homework for any reason. Maybe I’ll help you look at the problem differently or tell you how to get to the next step. Therefore, I am not nice. There goes my last ally in that class.
You win some, you lose some. 🙁

Of course. How is it even a question?
March 21, 2013 6:34 pm at 6:34 pm #939614playtimeMemberTorah613Torah- If everyone always copies off your homework, and they just rely on you, you’re right. But if once in a while your friends have not done their homework, I don’t see anything wrong with answering, “It’s in my desk”. After all isn’t that what friends are for?
March 21, 2013 6:35 pm at 6:35 pm #939615SaysMeMemberonce the homework is handed back, they might get over it quick, and even respect you for it. Good for you for standing up for the correct thing
March 21, 2013 6:36 pm at 6:36 pm #939616Torah613TorahParticipanttalmud: Not everyone. It takes me ~3 hours to complete the homework. Class is curved.
March 21, 2013 6:39 pm at 6:39 pm #939617abra cadabraParticipantClass is curved.
So you’re putting your own selfish interests above helping a friend?
March 21, 2013 6:43 pm at 6:43 pm #939618Torah613TorahParticipantAlly. ????? ??????.
Thank you SaysMe, I was starting to think that I’m crazy…
March 21, 2013 7:44 pm at 7:44 pm #939619playtimeMemberTorah613Torah- “class is curved” – sounds like you’re in college. “3 hours” – Sheesh, of course your right!
March 21, 2013 8:30 pm at 8:30 pm #939620SaysMeMembertalmud- as opposed to?
March 21, 2013 8:51 pm at 8:51 pm #939621WIYMemberTorah613Torah
It is assur and unethical to cheat and by helping them you are oiver on lifnei iver and being unethical. Its also very unfair to the people slaving away to do well. Never cheat anywhere.

Not cheating is selfish now?
March 21, 2013 9:42 pm at 9:42 pm #939623playtimeMemberSaysMe- As opposed to a highschool 15 min. homework assignment.
But college is different. +, 3 hours- that’s called being taken advantage of, ethics aside.
March 21, 2013 10:22 pm at 10:22 pm #939624squeakParticipantSell photo rights to your homework for $50 per page. At the very least, you’ll have started a legitimate business while in college, which bodes very well for later in life. Well, you’ll have started a business while in college, which what counts.
March 21, 2013 10:23 pm at 10:23 pm #939625SaysMeMembertalmud- sorry, i thought you were being sarcastic. my apologies
March 21, 2013 10:44 pm at 10:44 pm #939626WIYMembersqueak
Legitimate?!
March 21, 2013 10:46 pm at 10:46 pm #939627Torah613TorahParticipantWIY: Thanks for the lecture, I really needed that.
Believe it or not, I am like the only person who doesn’t cheat. At all. And I can’t figure out how so many people do better than me on tests since when we study together they don’t know it as well. Unless I think negatively of them.
Squeak: LOL. Thank you. Next time I get asked for this I’m going to inform him that he needs to pay. Cash. (and then say no.)
March 21, 2013 11:06 pm at 11:06 pm #939628abra cadabraParticipantHim? He?
