Cooljude, do you have a relationship with anyone affiliated with this supermarket (or are you affiliated with this supermarket in any way)? I doubt that a regular person would be so interested otherwise.

Seasons dropped the ball by not opening BEFORE Pesach. This was their opportunity to draw crowds in. Unless they have cut-rate prices, they have a very hard time getting a clientele because the lack of parking in the area is a MAJOR drawback.

Yesterday I got a piece of mail from SeasonsNY that looked like an invitation. It invited me to sign up for the sale alerts, but their website wasn’t set up yet. Now that’s poor marketing.

Early rumors are that it’s modeled after Pomegrante. To be honest, I don’t see how or why Queens can support a high end grocery. But they’ve had about 6 months to do their homework, so we’ll see.

In my opinion, Aron’s is not as good now as it was when it first opened. Their meat and poultry are not so great in my opinion, and I find the layout of the store disorienting.

Real Queens people shop at Wasserman’s and Brach’s.

Although I don’t have any affiliation with the new supermarket in Queens, I do know from first-hand experience of a Kosher supermarket that opened before Pesach and invested in a lot of Pesach products and when no one was interested in trying a new supermarket Erev Pesach, they lost a lot of money. Eventually, they closed down. So, the owners of this supermarket were smart to wait until after Pesach to open.

There was a fire in the store, The Sprinkers went off and all the stock was destroyed.

They will not open for a few weeks now

After watching the video, I have a few questions:

    1) How did those 2 arsonists get the ladder there. They drove in a small black sedan and right there was a huge ladder. Either it was planned out a couple days before where they come and placed the ladder there. If thats the case, they can check the video cameras from previous days for more clues of how the ladder got there. Maybe it was planned out from with in and the ladder was left there on purpose just to get the insurance money?

    2) Why wasn’t the sprinklers or alarms connected with the fire department. Most stores of that size have it directly connected with the fire department. If that’s the case, they would’ve been at the scene sooner and found the information quicker. As it is, all this was only revealed Motzei chag, about 24-30 hours later which is plenty of time for those 2 people to escape the country.

Seasons opened in Queens last week, rather quietly this time.

The store is quite nice, bright, wide aisles. The staff have been very well trained and are extremely courteous and helpful. Clearly appears to be modeling itself after Pomegrante. Unfortunately, the prices are kind of high on many items as compared to the other neighborhood stores. But I’ll go back anyway because their challahs were great, and the chickens were quite good also – very clean, and a bargain last week at $1.69 per pound for a whole or quartered chicken. The trick will be to catch things when they’re on sale – but that’s what I used to do with Supersol also.

They will not last long, They cannot compete with the parking lot at Aarons.

Unless they have cheap prices which they dont

i stopped by there to purchase items for Shabbos. Very clean and well organized. The staff were extremely nice and assisted me in everything I needed. They also have free coffee and gave out balloons to the kids. Very satisfied.
