Iy”H, in a couple months or so, I may have the opportunity to visit EY for about a month. I will have a set schedule while I am there, but may have some flexibility before/after. Is it possible to spend even just a week at Neve? I have been shomer mitzvos for many years but did not have the privilege of a Torah/seminary education. How do I find out if this is possible?

You might be able to attend classes, and not stay in the dorm. You might also look into Shearim which has classes for married Women, also there are more likely to be woman in the classes who are married. Also Midresht Rochel V Chaya.

    Hatzlacha! And enjoy your visit!

There are also great classes at Eyaht, the women’s branch of Aish HaTorah.

I am married but my husband will not be traveling with me. I’m more concerned that classes I take are appropriate for my level than if my classmates are married or not. Am I missing something?

    I don’t think you’re missing anything.

The married women situation just might make more sense, than the other group – not needing a dorm etc.

All of schools should have classes at different levels. Do some research contact them all – you should be able to reach a secretary during Israeli morning hours I would think and ask questions, which classes, which speaker/teacher, what time and day of week etc.

From my personal experience more than 20 years ago, Neveh is more focused on text and skills and EYAHT on Haskofo.

Some very good speakers at EYAHT years ago were Rabbi Yitzchok Berkowtiz and Rabbi Zev Leff and of course Rebbetzin Weinberg.

    Good Luck and enjoy

Not sure what you might be missing, but Eyaht has married women who drop in all the time for classes, some are regulars. I’m sure Neve also has married women there but it’s a big school with a big dorm, so I’m not sure of the mix.
