What happens when you try to?

    #775304

    Which version do you have?

Could be a problem with your CD/DVD settings. Try saving it straight onto your computer.

    fan of pd:

Could you, perhaps, give us a few of those millions of reasons? Without some kind of information about what is going wrong there isn’t a chance of getting good help.

    #775309

One of the programs might affect the way your computer saves files- the format of the file might not be able to be published.

Hi. Me too. I’m not ignoring you.

Oh. Yea. It looks like you’ll have a ‘mill diff’ issues to fix! Without sharing specifics, there’s little anyone can do for you except for a bit of sympathy.

do a windows update and make sure all updates were done. restart computer. clear all cookies from internet options. maybe try something like ccleaner (free download) to help clear out all the temp files.

    hatzlacha.

    #775313

Just a point to add – make sure the original file is in the same place as when you originally put it and not moved over.. that could break the link. Hope it gets through – keep us posted!

    nothing personal but ive learned,

when someone says update everything (usually drivers) and delete all cookies

the odds are that he has no idea what the problem is

try saving it to a usb memory card. you can even borrow one from your digital camera if you don’t have a spare one.

Maybe you have a virus that wrecks havoc with movie maker.

    No, it’s freeware.

Ccleaner is free. The donation is optional. Scroll down past the donation and click the link to download from piriform or filehippo

Mod 80 – you might be right that they don’t know what the problem is. But those are generally good advice for getting things to work.

When you say “there is enough memory” are you referring to RAM or Hard Drive space. Some people confuse those two. If it is crashing in the middle it might be a RAM problem. Have you tried restarting the computer and closing all programs besides the movie maker?

There might be something wrong with some of the clips. Does it play well in Movie Maker? It might help to copy the clips and delete the originals

Check the task manager to see how much memory is being used. Type ctrl-alt-del and choose task manager.

I don’t know much about movie maker but this sounds like it probably is not a memory issue. But if you want to check task manager to see how much memory is being used by the program and other running programs. You can watch the memory go up as it is saving the video
