This organization- The Jewish Woman Entrepreneur (THE JWE)- sounds amazing.Their upcoming conference on Sunday May 5th at the Hyatt in New Brunswick, NJ sounds awesome. A great option for current and future frum women business owners and professionals all within a Torah framework. Also, the cost for such an amazing conference at the Hyatt, catered by Elite catering under the Hashgacha of the KAJ, is perfect. Plus, organizational membership is free. Their site is so impressive and comprehensive (thejwe.com). I encourage everyone to attend and spread the word. Kol Hakavod.

May i ask what the “perfect” price is?
March 21, 2013 12:59 am at 12:59 am #939849Just EmesMemberI am just making the Olam aware of this awesome organization and their conference I read about. I saw them in a bunch of the frum papers and magazines and was genuinely impressed.
By the way the price is 125 dollars – and therefore must be very subsidized given that conferences like this typically costs a lot more especially since this venue is at the Hyatt and includes a catered lunch.
I have never seen anyone offer this many sessions about 18+ on business-related topics geared to an audience of frum women as well as having Rabbonim available for business halacha questions.
That is why I wanted to spread the word and help the tzibbur who in today’s economy are really struggling financially.

March 22, 2013 12:33 am at 12:33 am #939851saripMemberDoes anyone know if it is mostly for women who are already business owners or more for people who are thinking about starting something?
March 22, 2013 1:51 am at 1:51 am #939853Laura613MemberHi Sari,
The women attending are diverse in terms of the stage of their businesses, their industries, and their respective locations. To answer your question, the split is about 60/40. 60% of the women that have registered as of now are business owners and 40% are either in the startup phase or thinking about launching a business. We have created a very broad agenda so that women at any stage can learn and grow (you can pre-select the workshops that are relevant to you when you register). You can view the full agenda on the site. At risk of bordering the ‘advertising line,’ I won’t post a link, but hint: we have a banner on this site that will take you to where you need to go. Feel free to ask any additional questions. I hope this helps!
March 22, 2013 1:58 am at 1:58 am #939854ah talmidParticipantwhy is this program discriminating against men?
March 22, 2013 3:40 am at 3:40 am #939855Laura613MemberHello Ah Talmid,
We by no means wish to discriminate against men. Aside from offering an array of core business classes, this conference focuses on the key issues that frum women struggle with in the workplace. At this point, our organization only services women. Perhaps one day, we will be in the position to support the men of our community as well. That being said– if you call our office, we are happy to refer you to one of our many partner organizations that currently work with men. Hatzlacha!

March 24, 2013 6:23 am at 6:23 am #939857mewhoParticipantwhat about someone who has a great product that there is a huge need for out in the market? are there any business folks there that would be interested in hearing about this or perhaps partnering with the inventor?
