Hey I was wondering if anyone can help me. I am looking for mussar sefarim on the middah of shtika. If anyone knows any examples of people who performed the middah of shtika please let me know.

Vayidom Aharon (upon learning of his sons’ Nadav and Avihu’s deaths).

I also heard a wonderful story of someone who was embarrassed in a very public way by someone and said not one word. Imemdiately thereafter, a childless couple approached her and begged her to give them a bracha to have children. She did, and they did. The koach of someone who remains silent after being embarrassed b’rabim, is very great.

Don’t remember who said someone said this. The Torah says in Parshas Beshalach, “Hashem yilachem lachem, v’atem tacharishun” that Hashem will fight for you (answer your prayers), when you will be silent (not talk during davening). Maybe this applies to being silent in other situations too.

I don’t know of any book where the story appeared because my Rov told it over during a drosha. Have you looked in Mesilas Yesharim? Maybe there is something about this in there.

You could check the sefer “orech apayim” where he speaks at length of how shtika vekol namuch could save a person from the middah of caas

Iyov was punished because he was quiet and got a lot of yissurim for that. u know that story yisro/bilaam/iyov.. it would be nice for you to compare good shetika and bad shetika… usually we say shetika kehodaa- if your quiet that means you agree on the matter.. is this for some seminary report???
