At Mincha yesterday, someone’s ringtone went off. It was set to Hashem Melech (which is actually a goyish song), and everyone just stopped in the middle of Shemoneh Esreh and started dancing.
I was ay a chuppah and someones ring tone went off to the tune of eicha. Everyone got ogf their chairs and sat on the floor, till the kalla came walking down. It was a sight Youve never seen. I thought forsure Moshiach is in the room , that was until everyone realized that the ringing phone was unkosher.
I brought up a pertinent issue. People should remember to change their ringtones during the 3 weeks. I guess the coffee room is too immature for such reminders.

Its also pertinant to not blog during the three weeks!
I am unsure if you are joking or not but for the small chance you aren’t. The Kovetz Halachos(Rav Shmuel Kementsky) perek 4:15[pg.71] writes that it is a davar pashut that one does not need to change their ringtone.
You’re allowed to blog during the 3 weeks. You can’t listen to music. Ring tones are apparantly muttar, even if I spelled apparently wrong. I don’t know why but I won’t start up with R’ S. Kamenetzky. Dancing in middle of Shmoneh Esrei is assur.
As to whether or not I’m joking….I’m both joking and not, obviously. You understand, I’m sure.
One last thing…does sam stand for Samuel Kamenetsky?
What about doorbells?
Or PA announcements preceded by that lovely arpeggio?
Or (rachmana litzlan!) starting up and shutting down your old Windows XP computer?
The yetzer hara is drowning us in unwanted music! Help!
