Just wondering if anyone from california has any information on the Mesivta of calabasas. Basically how it compares to NY style yeshivas, what kind of boys go there (hashkafically) is it more modern or greasy for lack of a better term, level of learning there, rebbeim and which yeshivas do the boys get into for Beis medrash. I know it was mentioned in passing in the la thread but I’m looking for more info. Thanks.
i live in la, it is a normal mainstream yeshiva with 1st seder 2nd seder and night seder. the yeshiva is run like most other yeshiva which is just focusing in learning
i live in la and the yeshiva is a great yeshiva just like any yeshiva with first seder second seder night seder and has very good bochurim who go there and end up going to mainstream beis medrash in ny and lakewood after 12th grade
It’s not greasy very main stream yeshivish. The Rosh Yeshiva keeps it smaller so each guys gets personal attn. they dorm throughout the week. Out of the la hock u might find a couple greasy guys but mainly yeshivish main stream.
