    Does anyone know why people take their three year olds to Meron to cut their hair? What does Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai have to do with Upsherins?

    I was thinking that because we don’t cut hair between ??? and ?????? except on ?”? ?????, and it’s R’ Shimon’s “day” their is reason to do Upsherins there. But why the rest of the year?
