I think it is so much fun when we meet someone IRL who posts on or reads the CR. I went to an event last Motzai Shabbos, and was talking to a very friendly lady who had knowledge of future planned events at her shul. She offered to e-mail me to let me know about them, and when I gave her my e-mail address, she looked at it and asked if I post on the Yeshivah World News site. Turns out, she recognized my name from it, and is more a lurker than poster, but it was a still a nice coincidence to meet a stranger who is still somehow connected through the CR. So hi, Stranger/New Friend. It was nice talking to you.

I’ve met with a few people here in real life, and they were wonderful experiences. Interestingly enough, I was able to do this even with living hundreds of miles away from the vast majority of members here.
Middle: Did you travel hundreds of miles to meet them or did they travel hundreds of miles to meet you?

I know two regular readers from Gateshead and one abroad (and I think there may be others as well). Actually, I guess I’m quite famous.
Not that that’s a good thing…
I know for a fact that there are more people than will admit that know who I am IRL. The other direction, I know who a few people and lurkers are IRL.
