August 25, 2017 6:34 am at 6:34 am #1347062Little FroggieParticipantThank you, everyone, for your warm wishes.
I’m sure you’re all waiting to hear how it went (please tell me so..).
IT WAS LIKE A DREAM ON CLOUD TEN!!!
It really was. The Chasuna was B”H so lively. So many people showed up, those who we knew.. those (relatives!) who we didn’t… it was just so beautiful. It was just going and going. We have SO MUCH to be thankful and grateful to the Ribono She Olam!!! The custom-made music band was terrific – exactly to our tastes.. a true, emes, Yidishe Simcha shel Mitzvah. The dancing!!! Circles!! Smiles… happiness… all around… הו
דו לה כי טובThen there was this tremendous outpouring of Chesed from SO MANY PEOPLE – the entire two and a half weeks we were there… The family who hosted us (NO SMALL FEAT – ages 2 to 20) … the ones that saw to it that we were well stocked… the ones that prepared meals an INVITED us to INVADE at any hour of the day OR NIGHT… The ones who actually lent their car for the entire time (first time little me attempted to drive in EY!!!).. A special Bracha to our most wonderful Mechutanim… how they so nicely “guided and toingok us in”, showed us the ropes… And another most wonderful individual kept providing with cash (actually Sheqels) when needed (I think I have to repay, sometime!) מי כעמך ישראל!
THANK YOU, EVERYONE, IF YOU’RE READING THIS ׂׂ(even if you’re not)
And again, Thank You, HaShem for so much undeserved Chassodim מאוצר מתנת חנם. You, HaShem, know how undeserving I am, for this undreamed- of dream come true!
עד הנה עזרונו חסדיך ואל תטשינו ה’ א ‘ לנצח!
Your humble little …August 25, 2017 6:34 am at 6:34 am #1347066Little FroggieParticipantActually I had an extra couple of minutes under the Chuppa, while the music was playing such soulful, moving, beautiful strains of music… such a heart stirring moment… I found time to be Mispalel for all of US (kid you not!), and for all of Klal Yisroel, who are in want and need of Yeshuos of any sort. No – you can’t say I was dry-eyed. (I wasn’t the least interested to see if others were too – or if they were peering at me!)
May we ALL share in each others’ Simchos – always have good and GREAT tidings to exchange.
August 25, 2017 1:48 pm at 1:48 pm #1347247JosephParticipantMazal Tov!
August 25, 2017 2:15 pm at 2:15 pm #1347272spiralParticipantMazel Tov! Maybe I’m a little less nervous now. Am I”yh marrying off a son in Israel in a couple of weeks and I hate traveling. Finding apartmentsf for my couples in Yerushalayim is not easy. I still need places for 8 couples.
August 25, 2017 3:28 pm at 3:28 pm #1347302yehudayonaParticipantWe married off daughter #1 in Israel almost four years ago and daughter #2 in Brooklyn recently. For daughter #1, we had to do little more than buy our plane tickets (only a few — we have a small family, they have a large one, hence our decision to have the chasunah in EY). Our machutanim did the legwork. For daughter #2, the shoe was on the other foot — we’re local and our machutanim are long-distance. I’m pretty sure the costs are lower for EY weddings. We only paid for plane tickets for immediate family, so that wasn’t too bad.
August 27, 2017 2:16 pm at 2:16 pm #1347918Little FroggieParticipantSpiral… know what everyone says? If I did it…
Actually I didn’t, at all. It really does not make ANY sense. Not the Shidduch, not the tickets, the money that “JUST” came at the right time.. the numerous Chasdei HaShem that popped up seemingly out of nowhere!!! If you knew my financial standing, my social standing etc… you’d understand! It does not make ANY sense. I have literally no נסיון of attempting to think it was ANY of my doing, any of my מעשים or even any of my תפילות. I could not have dreamt this up in my wildest dreams.
Pure מתנת חנם from HaShem, for reasons He alone knows. And our בקשה to Him, that He continue to shower us from His אוצר of מתנת חנם, our family and all of Klal Yisroel.
August 27, 2017 4:46 pm at 4:46 pm #1347984Lilmod UlelamaidParticipantAmen! Mazel Tov!
