Good choice, moish. Anyone would choose drugs over cheating.
At least Joseph didn’t make the crack about staying off the sidewalk. He said the road, which shows he has some confidence in moish.
ames, colleges are very accepting of these backgrounds. A GRE can get you into a decent school even without NY Regents. Just don’t apply to “exclusive” colleges.
March 9, 2009 4:22 pm at 4:22 pm #641092anonymisssParticipantsqueak, GED?
~a~
March 9, 2009 5:00 pm at 5:00 pm #641093squeakParticipantyes, thank you.
March 9, 2009 5:25 pm at 5:25 pm #641094areivimzehlazehParticipantPlease take a moment to say a kapitol t’hillim for moish01 ben rebbitzen mom of moish01. He is either waiting, driving, panicking, crying or celebrating at this moment
March 9, 2009 5:27 pm at 5:27 pm #641095an open bookParticipantmoish01: im not arguing that that doesn’t happen, i think it does. but if you change your perspective it also can make you happier, so how do you explain that?
March 9, 2009 5:32 pm at 5:32 pm #641096moish01Memberguess who gets another mazal tov?
😉
March 9, 2009 5:51 pm at 5:51 pm #641097moish01Memberwow squeak, you’re terrible for a guy’s ego, you know that? i actually don’t know what it feels like to drive on the sidewalk or into cars or trees or anything of that sort.
and was that sarcastic about the drugs over cheating? how many yeshiva guys cheat? plenty. which is outright assur according to reb moshe. how many of them try drugs? (some, but) not nearly as many or with the same ease. i find it sick. and they’re the frum ones?? gee for a second i got the feeling i was in better shape than they are…
ames, there’s no way i’m going to college. i’m not exactly a school person. i just like knowing stuff without pressure.
March 9, 2009 6:25 pm at 6:25 pm #641098mchemtobMembermazal tov! just remember don’t drink & drive. u coul ask the limo guys from the other thread to pick u up tonight lol
March 9, 2009 6:28 pm at 6:28 pm #641099moish01MemberAOB, i never said there was no other way to become happy. i just said that specifically exercise released endorphins. that’s not the only thing that increases a person’s happiness. there are other chemicals in the brain. plus, psychology.
March 9, 2009 6:34 pm at 6:34 pm #641100areivimzehlazehParticipantMAZEL TOV! MAZEL TOV MOISH!! ahhh- I remember the exulted feeling…
May this newly acquired license only take you to good places 😉
March 9, 2009 6:34 pm at 6:34 pm #641101moish01Memberi’m not allowed to drive till i’m 17 anyway. what a drag. i can’t believe i actually agreed to it… now i have to stick to my word. plus i’m on probation for six month. and i don’t plan on getting my license revoked till i’m 21. (for DWI it might be longer)
March 9, 2009 6:40 pm at 6:40 pm #641103kapustaParticipantbtw, what do you plan on doing with your life in the way of an education? 🙂
March 9, 2009 6:44 pm at 6:44 pm #641105kapustaParticipantmoish what a good plan 😉 keep up the good work 🙂
March 9, 2009 6:54 pm at 6:54 pm #641106moish01Memberha i just read my post from before – i made it sound like i plan on getting my license revoked when i’m 21… i meant temporarily revoked until i reach age 21.
what’s that called in grammar?? i forgot.
(squeak, you also don’t teach yourself grammar. it’s just not one of those exciting subjects.)
March 9, 2009 7:18 pm at 7:18 pm #641108kapustaParticipantmoish if I ask for a reply will I be bombarded with your bad mood again or is there nothing (even me) that can put you in a bad mood today?
March 9, 2009 8:05 pm at 8:05 pm #641111moish01Memberkapusta i tried. no bad mood here, but seems like i can’t get a word out here. sorry. maybe i’ll find a better way to write it and i’ll try posting again.
March 9, 2009 8:07 pm at 8:07 pm #641112areivimzehlazehParticipantmoish- then it’s not only my posts…. I think every 4th one gets past their radar lately
March 9, 2009 8:14 pm at 8:14 pm #641113moish01Memberwow ames, no sarcasm there, is there?
i don’t know! i think you people forget that’s i’m all of 16 years old. i guess eventually i’ll probably wind up in college (or dare i say: yeshiva?? yikes… i’m gonna get clobbered for that one…)
March 9, 2009 8:30 pm at 8:30 pm #641114kapustaParticipantdont worry moish, shoprite always has room for baggers or if theyre full maybe try costco jk (double jk for anyone who understood the second part) 🙂
March 9, 2009 8:30 pm at 8:30 pm #641115kapustaParticipantmoish youre teasing me, this is not nice… :/
March 9, 2009 8:44 pm at 8:44 pm #641116moish01Memberi never said i don’t like frum people.
and just cuz i’m a lazy bum doesn’t mean that i’m anti college.
ames, read through your post again. that was way stronger than i ever come across as.
kapusta – don’t.
March 9, 2009 8:48 pm at 8:48 pm #641117kapustaParticipantmoish dont what?
and you were complaining that I was tough on you
ames WHAT IS WITH YOU TODAY?!?!?!?! do you need some cheering up?
March 9, 2009 8:48 pm at 8:48 pm #641118areivimzehlazehParticipantdon’t attack moish on erev purim AND on the day he passed his road test. It just aint fair- he’s earned a little menuchas hanefesh from us 😉
March 9, 2009 8:54 pm at 8:54 pm #641119squeakParticipantmoish, first of all, mazel tov. Your close friends and family can have a break now that you can manage your aggression with driving.
About your point drugs vs cheating: If you go through the sefer Shmiras Haloshon, it appears that the worst possible aveira a person can do is to speak Loshon Hara. So why do we get more upset over seeing a person with a yarmulka eating a cheeseburger in a car on Yom Kippur than we do when we see a person with a yarmulka talking loshon hara? The answer to this question is the answer to your own.
BTW, there are some fun grammar lessons online. By fun I mean that you can actually sit through it.
March 9, 2009 8:55 pm at 8:55 pm #641120moish01Memberyeah plus i’m more vulnerable because i’m fasting. and the last thing i want right now is to be in a crummy mood.
March 9, 2009 9:00 pm at 9:00 pm #641121moish01MemberBtw, if you plan on doing something that doesn’t need a college education at minimum, then fine, don’t go to college, I agree 100%, it’s a waste of time and money.
it’s not like i have a family business to get into. my dad’s a lawyer and you don’t inherit that – you gotta sweat for it. ok, i was really just talking. like i said, i’ll probably end up in either a yeshiva or a college. that’s REALLY speaking realistically. otherwise i would’ve skipped the yeshiva part;)
March 9, 2009 9:11 pm at 9:11 pm #641122areivimzehlazehParticipanthey moish- can’t wait to spot the white hat with the feather ;);););)
March 9, 2009 9:13 pm at 9:13 pm #641123kapustaParticipantmoish I never thought I’d say this but why would you be in a crummy mood? YOU PASSED YOUR ROAD TEST TODAY! and that means that, in a few long months, you can actually drive! I think theres something wrong here and why so moody lately? 🙂
March 9, 2009 9:19 pm at 9:19 pm #641124moish01Memberhey squeak, i guess you weren’t kidding. cool. i feel like such a tzaddik 😉
and pass on the grammar lessons. i think i’ll be ok without it.
March 9, 2009 9:56 pm at 9:56 pm #641125moish01Memberhey kapusta, costco doesn’t have bags 😉
and i’m not in a crummy mood – i just said that i don’t want to be. have i been moody lately? i didn’t notice…
March 9, 2009 10:01 pm at 10:01 pm #641126kapustaParticipantmoish yup thats what I was talkin about, and yesterday you were… 🙂
March 9, 2009 10:03 pm at 10:03 pm #641127anonymisssParticipantCongrats, moish!!! You passed your road test-celebrate!! Today’s not a good day for moodiness, save it for some other time.
~a~
March 9, 2009 10:21 pm at 10:21 pm #641128moish01Membersorry bout that. i wouldn’t call myself a moody guy. everyone’s entitled, though, right? and at 16 i get double-time 😉
thanks anonymisss… and i’ll save it… just hope you like left-overs 😉
March 9, 2009 10:43 pm at 10:43 pm #641129kapustaParticipant16 year old girls get double time, not guys 🙂
March 9, 2009 10:48 pm at 10:48 pm #641130an open bookParticipanti come back for a minute & realized i missed so much! mazal tov moish01!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can’t say i remember the feeling like areivim though 😉
March 9, 2009 10:48 pm at 10:48 pm #641131moish01Memberhey why ever not??
March 9, 2009 10:51 pm at 10:51 pm #641132an open bookParticipantMarch 9, 2009 10:55 pm at 10:55 pm #641133kapustaParticipantif that question was addressed to me because girls have a certain image to keep up and usually more issues to deal with, guys can be out of it but they do their own thing
March 9, 2009 11:00 pm at 11:00 pm #641134an open bookParticipantwhat? i didn’t know moody was based on issues. i thought it was at least partly hormones. otherwise why don’t adults get an excuse
March 9, 2009 11:01 pm at 11:01 pm #641135kapustaParticipantAOB: yeah but girls have to put on a front that everythings perfect, usually 🙂
March 9, 2009 11:25 pm at 11:25 pm #641136an open bookParticipant? so what does that have to do with being moody?
March 9, 2009 11:26 pm at 11:26 pm #641137moish01Memberkapusta, where did you get that idea from? and why are guys any different?
March 10, 2009 5:19 am at 5:19 am #641138kapustaParticipantAOB: they have to be more perfect, usually balances out with the opposite and girls tend to be more emotional
moish: where did I get which idea?
🙂
March 10, 2009 5:30 am at 5:30 am #641139yoshiMemberWhen I first saw this thread, I thought it was referring to a different “type” of mazel tov, to a another man named, “Moish.” LOL
Anyways, mazel tov to you Moish, member in the YWN CR! – (& congrats on your newly acquired drivers license)
March 10, 2009 1:18 pm at 1:18 pm #641140anonymisssParticipantmoish, ha! You know what I do with leftovers? Throw it out. So you can just take all that moodiness and get rid of it!! lol!!! All kidding aside, at 16, anyone’s allowed some moodiness from time to time.
~a~
March 10, 2009 4:32 pm at 4:32 pm #641141an open bookParticipantkapusta: i still don’t get what you’re trying to say
yoshi: what?
March 12, 2009 1:48 am at 1:48 am #641143kapustaParticipantbasically that girls are usually much more emotional and take things more to heart (and are more moody) than guys. btw, are you a girl or a guy? 🙂
March 12, 2009 2:54 am at 2:54 am #641144an open bookParticipantoh. i don’t know if i agree, but ok.
…guess!
March 12, 2009 5:59 am at 5:59 am #641145kapustaParticipantI think science backs me up, not sure though can anyone help me on this one? 🙂
and you are…? 🙂
March 12, 2009 7:33 pm at 7:33 pm #641146areivimzehlazehParticipanti’ll take a wild stab at it…
