i think i’m going into “off” mode.
March 5, 2009 2:15 am at 2:15 am #641035kapustaParticipantareivim I was trying to tell you (a while ago) that on the day you wrote your comment (dont remember exactly, something about my being too tough on moish). you had (have) a point, the day I saw it I had a miserable (repeat if necessary to get the picture) but there was something wrong maybe with the way it was written (I remember the whole night just imagining in my head someone saying it too me in this really awful tone) you hit me at a bad time but what I wanted to tell you was too lighten up the wording. at that point it really, really hurt. in the other thread I was trying to get you to look at this one. this is a weird post, hope it comes through to you with some normalcy. 🙂
March 5, 2009 8:51 pm at 8:51 pm #641036areivimzehlazehParticipantunderstood perfectly kapusta.
I think you had a very very terrible day that day because my tone was actually pretty light. I hardly ever mean to come across strongly. I usually make it very clear when I’m yelling about something- can’t miss it.
But- nonetheless- I do apologize for hurting you, because that was far from my intention.
I hope you can forgive?
March 5, 2009 8:53 pm at 8:53 pm #641037moish01Memberoh god – see what i started??
March 5, 2009 8:56 pm at 8:56 pm #641038areivimzehlazehParticipantis this the worst of the lot? 😉
March 5, 2009 10:59 pm at 10:59 pm #641039kapustaParticipantareivim thats the problem with reading, theres no tone I dont think it was what you said but more when you said it, youre almost completely back on my good side so I guess that means youre forgiven 🙂
btw, the worst of the lot? 🙂
one more thing, I think it was after “this” that I officially made a 🙂 my signature (on my shmoozier with a consultation of ames) so it couldn’t have been all bad :):):):):)
March 5, 2009 11:22 pm at 11:22 pm #641041moish01Memberhey kapusta, i have a feeling you’re more than a little mad at me… am i right?
(by the way everyone i just found out that “mad” is the term used for dogs. i never knew it was exclusive! forgive me for using it…)
March 5, 2009 11:33 pm at 11:33 pm #641042kapustaParticipantames yes I was invited to your house for shabbat. I was trying to find out how chulent was at lunch :):) (2 special for you)
moish I dont get mad I get glad 😉 I cant say I’m mad at you I dont stay mad very long unless some grave injustice is being done then I will stay mad for like more then a few minutes/hours depending on the situation (two I can remember, caused by the same person, one I still get upset about till this day, it could have had a life-long effect and the person who did this was supposed to be “fixing” issues like this) so no I am not mad at you if youre talking about the areivim thing because that was just a hard day and you just got caught up in it (JK!) no, everythings good and everyones happy 🙂 next point, I do have a right to be mad (well maybe not a right but you get the idea) because I was never officially forgiven for “traumatizing you”… cant imagine what else there is to be mad about but I’m not overly experienced at these things 🙂 did I cover the issue you were talking about?
March 5, 2009 11:49 pm at 11:49 pm #641043kapustaParticipantand that was not a good idea to include your commentary in the same post. you’ve just insulted the CR queen, do you feel good about yourself?
March 6, 2009 2:39 am at 2:39 am #641045kapustaParticipantames I guess its just a pro on my side that I usually dont carry cash or credit cards on shabbat 🙂
what about potato kugel and gefilte fish? 🙂
March 6, 2009 7:15 am at 7:15 am #641050kapustaParticipantames 🙂

March 8, 2009 9:16 pm at 9:16 pm #641059moish01Memberyeah you’re actually right. sorry bout that.
March 8, 2009 9:22 pm at 9:22 pm #641060kapustaParticipanttry those, (plural) not that… all forgiven though…should I track down squeak or charlie for you? 🙂
I dont think you want to hear this now, and I’m not trying to traumatize you (really not) but if you are in a bad mood, try davening, usually works…
March 8, 2009 9:25 pm at 9:25 pm #641061moish01Membernot sure if i wanna shoot you or break my computer.
March 8, 2009 9:36 pm at 9:36 pm #641062an open bookParticipantlol
something else that sometimes helps when in a bad mood is sports or some kind of physical activity
March 8, 2009 9:38 pm at 9:38 pm #641063kapustaParticipantsorry, I tried to apologize in advance… 🙂
March 8, 2009 9:54 pm at 9:54 pm #641064kapustaParticipantAOB: bad idea shooting is physical activity jk 🙂
March 8, 2009 9:59 pm at 9:59 pm #641065an open bookParticipantits ok kapusta ur anonymous here so ur safe 😉
his computer on the other hand, better take cover
March 8, 2009 9:59 pm at 9:59 pm #641066moish01MemberAOB – there’s actually a science behind that. i think physical activity causes endorphins to be released. (i think it was that chemical) which makes a person happy.
March 8, 2009 10:04 pm at 10:04 pm #641067kapustaParticipantmoish am I correct in thinking that you were not in school for chemistry? even I didnt know that and I like it 🙂
moish smiling does too… 🙂
March 8, 2009 10:10 pm at 10:10 pm #641068moish01Memberno, i never took chemistry. i actually should – i’m supposed to be in eleventh grade now.
and what’s even?? i’m sure i know plenty of random that you don’t. what do you think i do when everyone’s at school? (besides for hanging around here and watching stupid movies, that is)
March 8, 2009 10:10 pm at 10:10 pm #641069an open bookParticipantmoish01: yeah i did hear that somewhere. but i mostly speak from personal experience 🙂
kapusta? im a lil confused by the last part of your post?
March 8, 2009 10:20 pm at 10:20 pm #641070kapustaParticipantmoish you read chemistry books?
AOB: smiling also makes you happy
March 8, 2009 10:32 pm at 10:32 pm #641071moish01Memberkapusta, i read anything with words. i never actually read a chemistry book, but i read encyclopedias and medical books and psychology books and law and history books – basically anything i could get my hands on.
and that’s more biology than chemistry. just in case you wanted to know.
i know, i sound like such a freak. i’m really very chilled.
March 8, 2009 10:36 pm at 10:36 pm #641072kapustaParticipantI guess once youre not being tested on it, it takes out the annoyance of it…although I cant say I ever did anything like that (definitely not law and history)
and it would probably be more psychology than biology 🙂 sorry
March 8, 2009 10:38 pm at 10:38 pm #641073an open bookParticipantkapusta: thanx. yeah, but its easier to smile when you have a reason to. so sometimes it’s not a great starting point (for feeling happy)
moish01: im not sure i understand why you’re not in school. doesn’t seem like you’re completely wasting your time though 🙂 do you ever read fiction?
March 8, 2009 10:40 pm at 10:40 pm #641074squeakParticipantmoish, if you are not in school anymore, are you doing anything to make sure that you are not missing out on the education that you would be getting (obviously the rest of what you’d get in school can be safely left behind)?
Being an autodidact is well and good, but it is probably not sufficient. Tutors?
March 8, 2009 10:43 pm at 10:43 pm #641075kapustaParticipantAOB: when you want to improve your mood smiling helps tons! 🙂
March 8, 2009 10:51 pm at 10:51 pm #641076moish01Memberkapusta, you’re wrong. it’s physiological, not psychological. it’s chemicals in a person. nothing to do with a person’s perspective on anything.
AOB, sometimes. they get boring after a while. a lot of the same stuff and nothing intellectual about any of it. plus i’m lazy to go to the library and we mostly have jewish books in my house (which are not worth the paper they’re printed on) so i just read what i have around here. which is mostly science and history. and i always have google if i get really bored.
March 8, 2009 10:54 pm at 10:54 pm #641077kapustaParticipantmoish if thats what you say…
what about the Rabbi Twersky book? jk
🙂
March 8, 2009 10:56 pm at 10:56 pm #641078moish01Membersqueak, first of all, i have plenty of teachers even if they don’t know it.
for example: what the heck does autodidact mean?? well i just looked it up to make sure i was understanding it from the context.
anyway, what am i missing out on? math and gemara. so i won’t be an engineer or a maggid shuir. i’m ok with those consequences. what else would i need a tutor for?
March 8, 2009 10:56 pm at 10:56 pm #641079moish01Memberwell it does have words…
March 8, 2009 10:57 pm at 10:57 pm #641080an open bookParticipanti have a bunch to say to that but i have to go for a few minutes. i’ll be back asap tho!
March 8, 2009 11:00 pm at 11:00 pm #641081kapustaParticipantdo you read the back of tissue boxes also? lol
March 8, 2009 11:08 pm at 11:08 pm #641082moish01Memberyeah – i even know the French on the Kleenex box 😉
March 8, 2009 11:11 pm at 11:11 pm #641083kapustaParticipantsadly enough I believe you ;/
March 8, 2009 11:31 pm at 11:31 pm #641084an open bookParticipantkapusta, you’re wrong. it’s physiological, not psychological. it’s chemicals in a person. nothing to do with a person’s perspective on anything.
AOB, sometimes. they get boring after a while. a lot of the same stuff and nothing intellectual about any of it. plus i’m lazy to go to the library and we mostly have jewish books in my house (which are not worth the paper they’re printed on) so i just read what i have around here. which is mostly science and history. and i always have google if i get really bored.
i think perspective does have a lot to do with it, even if your perspective induces certain chemicals, & thats the actual feeling.
oh yeah, i definitely agree there’s not much out there. its pretty sad. when i was younger i read 24/7 & i can definitely see sometimes where it made an impact on my life. but now its so much harder to find books; i read a fraction of the amount i used to!!!
its the opposite for me, it’s a lot easier to go to the library than to find jewish books (unless i pay for them, which i don’t really want to do from what i hear of the quality). but there’s really not much out there for anyone who actually wants to think when reading 🙁
March 9, 2009 12:59 am at 12:59 am #641085squeakParticipantmoish, I take it from your comment that you were suggesting I might be one of your “teachers who doesn’t know he is teaching you”? That’s not really worth that much. But hey, plenty of self-taught people are successful, I just find that it is very rare for a student to train himself without directed guidance. Perhaps a mentor, if not a tutor. But yeah, you could probably teach yourself more than the average American knows without any guidance. Which of course exempts you completely from math and Gemara 🙂
March 9, 2009 1:17 am at 1:17 am #641086AnonymousInactiveMoish – good luck on your roadtest tommorow!
March 9, 2009 1:38 am at 1:38 am #641087JosephParticipantroad test? moish? which road must I keep away from?
March 9, 2009 1:57 am at 1:57 am #641088an open bookParticipantoh gosh does everyone have to say that? i have definitely heard at least 5 variations of that remark when mentioning drivers ed/my permit
March 9, 2009 3:11 am at 3:11 am #641089kapustaParticipantmoish no one told me about your road test, good luck! 🙂
March 9, 2009 5:17 am at 5:17 am #641090moish01Memberthanks everyone! (besides for joseph) and don’t worry, AOB, i’m cool with it.
AOB, what you’re saying may have truth to it, but go back to where this started. exercise causes endorphins to be released, which lifts a person’s mood. completely physiological. nothing cognitive in that – it’s just a chemical reaction.
squeak, i guess i may not come out knowing exactly what everyone else learns in school, but i can bet you a million bucks i’ll come out with a better secular education that any guy in the entire yeshiva. so who cares? plus they all cheat on regents which (if i do take my regents) i would NEVER do. drugs? yeah. cheating? heck no!
and by the way everyone, i made myself sound like the biggest geek on earth. i’m REALLY not.
