During the campaign, Mayor Eric Adams promised he would release his income tax returns. He has not done so yet, and he just postponed the release date into June (which I expect will be further postponed). What do you think he is hiding? Please provide evidence if you have it, and admit when you do not.
I’ll go first: I have no evidence, but I believe his income tax returns will show some substantial income from consulting fees paid, directly or indirectly, by people with businesses that are regularly subject to city regulations. He ain’t the first to do this, and he won’t be the last (unless legal authorities effectively put a stop to it and pigs fly), but it is wrong and is clearly contrary to the best interest of the voters, citizens and taxpayers.
